Ashtanga on Koh Phangan and fruit supply???

I am considering practicing on Koh Phangan with Kirsten and Mitchell in Feb and

March, but I wanted to know a little about the area first.I have been to

Thailand many times, and to Koh Pangan once this year. My question relates to

food. My diet mostly consists of fruit, and during my stay this September near

Ao Hin Kong on the West of the island, I was able to get limited fruit from the

local stores, but much more only from Tong Sala. Would it be easy for me to buy

fruit near the shala, or would I have to travel to Tong Sala? Also, on Kirsten

and Mitchell's website they mentioned that there may now be a road from Baan Tai

to Haad Tien. Does anyone know if this road is completed? What would the trip be

like to Tong Sala on a bicycle?
