Satnam ji,

KARA

Yogi Bhajan guided the men to wear the KARA on the right wrist as he is

ruled by the sun energy and right side is sun side.

Women wear the KARA on the left wrist, the moon side and receptive

feminine side.

Re Ga Ma Pa:

The practice of Saregams is an encient practice for developing the singing voice for

Indian Classical music. The scale is equivalent to the western scale of so, re, me , fa so, la ti, do.

In Indian music one masters the notes with the practice of RAYAAZ. The notes are named:

sa re ga ma pa dha ni sa. Singing them individually and together in assorted combinations and

speeds is part of the daily practice of RAYAAZ. The human voice can sing 3 octives when trained.

Any meditation on these syllables is normally in conjunction with this voice training technique.
