Kundalini Surge???

A few years ago in the midst of sleeping early in the a.m. I was

awakened by an electrical surge. It started at the tip of my toes and

went throughout my body..ending at the very top of my head. I have

asked questions of what it was and was told that it was the Kundalini

Surge. I accept that. At that time, I have never meditated at all.

My question is this: What was the purpose of the surge to me, and why

did it happen? It has not happened again to me since, and I'm not

quite sure if I want it to happen again. It scared me. It did not

hurt me in any way. Yet, I'm drawn to find out if it was a good or bad

thing. Is there anyone who can give me some answers and possibly has

experienced the same thing? Should I want to experience it again?
