Respected Moderator,

Namaskarams,

This is regarding the question whether info can be sent in Tamil or English. As

for me I can read tamil but being abroad I have not been in touch with the

language for a long time. Hence English will be an easier option. However,

should majority of the members opt for tamil I do not have a problem.

I will like to add here that you are doing a wonderful job. Some of us ( like me

! ) are not very good in reciprocating or sending in an appreciation when it is

due. I go through each and every mail that comes from Vaideekam.com. For me it

is a learning process and do not have much to comment upon but I do enjoy

reading all the mails and improving my knowledge on our beliefs, customs and

traditions which you are imparting. I pray to God to give you enough patience

and strength to continue with the excellent work you have embarked upon. Wish

you all success in your noble endevour.

Dear Mr.K.Vasudevan,

Your meesage is like a strength tonic, continue to write messages to the group,

you can write in English or in Tamil or even in Thanglish. I repect all

languages which are useful to communicate with others. I hope that I know

English, but I don't know wheather it is the one that you known as English.

I could not accept or agree the reasons by members for not sending messages.

Members are going here and there and participating in several vaideeka,

religious functions, there they can observe the vaideeka performance and take

notes on that for the sake of our group members, and they can send their views

about their observation. Or they can raise some questions on those things. If

they happen to see any interesting message, article, picture they can collect

them and send for this group members.

best regards,

Moderator

Respected Moderator and the Group Members,

Can I get the Sandhyavanandhana Kramam for Rig Veda? I would highly appreciate

even if a Scanned Copy can be sent thro' mail.

Thank you very much in advance,

Krishnan S

***Dear Mr. Krishnan,

Wait for some days to type it (Rig - Sandhya Vandhanam, Upakarma etc.) and to

produce pdf. Scanning the old book will sopil the book and which is not

editable,(all books are written for saivites, we have to change it for Sri

vaishnavites) and will be big in size and very poor in quality.

Any work which needs much efforts expects that much of response.

best regards,

moderator

Sri Nandakumar can refer to www.geocities.com/magudadeepan to get his problem solved. Please browse also www.suratha.com and

www.ezilnila.com and www.chennainetwork.com in this regard. It is my earnest prayer to every member of this group to try something ourselves rather than seeking guidance for each and everything to the moderator. Solution is available for everything onthe net. The only reuired is patience and perseverance. Hope I will not be mistaken

Yesterday had given a link to download the suradha.com software for Tamil unicode. I am using that only.I could not solve it for all.The members should suggest.Again we can try for the dynamic fonts, for that members should help me by checking it in various OS and various browsers and settings.

It requires the " User Defined " Encoding.Tomorrow I try to send a html page with1. dynamic Tamil fonts2. Sun Tommy font (to be installed in your system permenently)3. Unicode Tamil fontsand create a poll in our website,

according to the majority voting I can keep the one selected by members.Note:- " Learn Samskrit & Vaidhikam " first lesson will be uploaded tomorrow by 5.30 am after a small pooja by 5.00 am IST.

Dasan,

Download Kural software from kstarsoft.com and install it.

You can use it for typing mails in Tamil.

It has got support for Unicode and some ttf fonts.

I am using it in Mozilla Thunderbird.
