Following is the message which tempted me to reply for it.

good advice for wearig panchakacham. iam sur every one

will start atleast from now onwards. known persons may

excuse. i am in the second category and i will try. i

before posting it to the group. So, I am not compelling the members

who are having heay work schedule but others may do send something.

Mr.TV Padmanabhan had sent three messages which have been uploaded to

the groups files section. No member had sent their comments about his

write up including me. Without encourragement from ourside he stoped

sending articles. I request him to start sending message on behalf of

this group members. ( I am also one of the member of this group.)

 

I request all members to stop sending opinion poll to the group

because the messages received from members till 6th March 2005 have

been copied in to a text file and the original messages had been

deleted. The file with the poll results was uploaded to our files

section and a cicular had been sent to the group members. The same

poll with little change had created in our website polls section, so

the remining members or members who had already snet also can cast

their votes their.

 

I request members to come to chat with me using our groups chating

system which will be more effective method to interacting with you.

Personal contacts will develope between you and me / group and by this

we can reduce the mail trafic to a huge extent. For which we are all

fearing and having restrictions moderations and all?! I will be there

online about minimum six hours a day from evening 5 pm to 11 pm

(indian time). Also interested members can use my id

vasuvadhyar to add in their messenger friends list.

Don't worry I wont add anybody unless you send a instruction to do so.

reactivation of reminder service. Mistake 1. I typed a word as 'pole' earlier

which should be as 'poll'. When I saw this today and I tried to correct it, at

that time there were 10 votes casted, but after correction the number of votes

had gone to zero. I request the honourable members to kindly recast their votes

if possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.

 

I can appoint moderator(s) for this group if there is 10 to 15 messages daily.

 

I am going to change the email option of all members to " Daily digest " by which

any member will receive more than one mail per day from this group. Members can

later change their option themselves according to their willingness.

 

Finally one more request to the members:

On reading your mail, I felt sad that Sri T V

Padmanabhan has stopped writing because no one

responded. I request him through this forum to

continue his writings which are indeed enlighting and

energising persons like me who value their eyes and

ears than their mouths and tongues. In fact I have

been eagerly waiting for his writings with the same

zeal as to the writings of Sri Sadagopan Iyengar of

Coimbatore through various e-journals.

 

I once again acknowledge and appreciate your yeoman

services to asthikas in general and srivaishnavites in

particular and would appel to your goodself to

continue despite your busy life for the benefit of

Hello Dear Moderator Swamin,

 

Please do not stop writing or sharing your thoughts with us. Like

water flowing from higher place to lower, in this case it passes from

knowledgeable to the less knowledgeable. In this case, I have not seen

the flow so much considering the mountain of your religious practice.

But sometimes things happen like flood, lot of articles in a stretch.

Then some dry spell so on. This variation in posting, comparable to

the season is perfectly fine and part of variety.

 

My interest in this group is simple, and centered on your practice of

religion observances. Other than the philosophy of our sampradhayam

and related vaideka madams, the practice and tradition is GREAT part.

And I /we hope that at least we learn/imbibe some of the good ones.

 

And beyond all this, the very fact that I am willing to hear from you

gives me benefits, like thinking about the vaidiha observations. That

time and thought cleans the mind and takes us to the right things

slowly.

 

So given all this, I don't know why you have to stop expressing your

flow of thoughts. Now your suggestion that others write in this forum,

is ok. But I am not here hoping for those articles, I am respecting

the daily effort that you are putting to still follow that path shown

by our forefathers, so anything u tell is part of that experience.

Dear Sir,

 

This group helps others to know things. For instance I am away from Tamil Nadu and this site I happen to see by chance and join. As Sri Laksri pointed out spreading knowledge - we may think others know but many really not and these will be a helpful to know or get reminded.

As for participation is concerned, my contribution may or may not be there but I am at the other end to know and learn, experience. use, adopt etc.

Therefore it is requested to continue the worthy services so that many will benefit.

Namaskarams,

 

Sri D Ranganathan has written and I am also of the same view.

When one gets some chance to improve the knowledge and is feeling happy. But

sudden rethinking - about posting / spreading knowledge - for discontinuance is

creating annoyance in the mind. Let us spread good things without expecting

response. People like me are getting benefitted which is otherwise not possible

since not being in touch with people who know things and it is beneficial for

those who live outside States. In the confused state after seeing abou the

message I am not able to write in full. So it is my humble request that spread

knowledge and many will get benefitted.

Hello Swamin !

 

Went through your e-mail fully to the end. The poll & this e-mail give a feeling that silent members are not encoraged here, though the reasons for the silence may vary. I do go thorugh all the e-mails from this e-group though not on a daily basis.

 

Also got a chance to go thorugh Mr. Padmanabhan's articles on Hindu Tradition. Superb & very helpful ones especially the one on hinduistic way of defining "Kaalam / calendar". I have saved them. Will write it to him too. I know encouragement is a necessity. But things shouldn't stop because of the lack of it, if it really helps & educates people.

 

I also have a suggestion for you. Is it possible for you to compile the postings by people, replies, your reminders and messages etc. on a daily basis and send that as a single mail from the group daily ? That way the mailbox doesn't look crowded by so many mails from so many people on a single topic.

 

Please continue the good work that you've undertaken. We relish it.
