No introduction is needed to write about the excellent

kainkaryam undertaken by SrI MAdhavakaN^N^an in translating

the pAsurams into English for those who rely upon English

as the source language for learning our sampradAyam. His

unique anubhavam filled translations are enjoyed by everyone.

 

Incidentally, aDiyEn would like to list out the English

translations of Divya Prabandha PAsurams made by

(Ubhaya-VEdAnta) scholars :

 

1. AzhwAr ThiruvuLLam : ThiruvAimozhi - Eng Trans + Tamil

Trans + Brief purport in Tamil - 2 vols ;

2. AzhwAr ThiruvuLLam : IyaRpA (ie.First, Second and Third

ThiruvandAdis of Mudal AzhwArs, Thiruviruttam of NammAzhwAr,

NAnmugan ThiruvandAdi of Thirumazhisai pirAn, ThiruvAsiriyam

and Peria ThiruvandAdi of NammAzhwAr, ThiruvezhukOOTRirukkai,

SiRiya Thirumadal and Peria Thirumadal of Thirumangai AzhwAr

The rest of the pAsurams viz. Mudal aayiram and

IrandAm aayiram will be the next in this series of books

There is also an Eng Translation of SwAmi DESikan's

DramiDopanishad TAtparya RatnAvaLi and DramiDOpanishad

SAra by SrI R.RangAchAri, pub: VEdAnta DESika Research

Society,1974.

 

This Society has come up with good translations of SwAmi

DESikan's works like Hamsa-SandEsa etc. aDiyEn will later

compile those list of publications and will let you know.

 

Ofcourse, books from this society are no more available.

But are in Libraries (even in US). Also, no such society

exists as on date to my knowledge.
