How did these two streams of thought get associated with Lord Maha Vishnu and Lord Shiva? What has Adwaitha got to do with Lord Shiva and why are the followers called Shivites and not Advaithis? Similarly, what has Dwaitha got to do with Lord Maha Vishnu and why are the followers called Vaishnavites and not Dwaithis?Please enlighten adiyen. Pranaamam. Sreeram Iyer.
