Guest guest
|| Jaya Jagannatha || Dear Sandy, A degree of longitude at the Equator is 111.321 kilometers (69.172 miles) long. The length of one degree of longitude (a degree of the parallel) will decrease even more rapidly as one approaches the poles. So the amount of 40 Minutes difference is about 41~ Miles difference. Usually Cities Latitude Longitudes are based on Center of the City or where the City Hall or where the Zero mile marker stone could be. For example for Washinton DC the Latitude/Longitude is just outside White House. So depending on how far you stay from the City there is a natural error in Lat/Long we use in casting chart. It's like using the Standard Time Versus the Local Time. So such small errors can me ignored. Usuall one error degree on Longitude gives an error of One degree in Longitude of Lagna. Hope this satisfies your query. Regards S. Guest guest
|| Om Tat Sat || Dear Sandy, This *could* be a typo. I am not sure. It should have been 121W15.57 instead of 121W57.15.
