Om Gurave Namah

Dear Sourav,

Namaste

The installation of your gemstone is for Dharma, so ensure the 9th house is empty besides the 6th, 8th and 12th. If this is not possible, ensure that the 8th always remains empty.

Secondly, you opted for a Martian day, which I do not agree with.

Currently, Rahu and Saturn are in trines to one another – ensure that Moon is out of their orbit and grasp.

It is easier to choose a Thursday during the Guru’s hora. Don’t worry about the temporary friendships, because in reality, the Moon has no enemies.

If preference is given to a long term installation, opt for Kumbha lagna instead. Vrishabha, Vrischikha and Makara are all your 12th, 6th and 8th houses, which you have to avoid.

If the 9th house is the house of preference, which it is, in your case, then Jupiter on the ascendant, destroys all doshas. If it is Venus, then Venus on the ascendant, 3rd or 4th, then 200 doshas are destroyed. Tula is your 5th House, and this lagna muhurta can also be good.

Greenbelt, Maryland ~ 7:30am on 27th October is a better option.

These are the salient points off the top of my head.

Love,

Swee

Dear Swee-ji,

namaskar. Thank you for providing this learned information. I am assured that Sanjay-ji meant Yellow Sapphire in my case then, and the term 'Yellow' topaz is a mistake.

I have been looking for a suitable Muhurta for wearing my gemstone and decided this:

October 10, 2006, 15:33(4:00 West of GMT), Greenbelt, USA, 76W52'33 " , 39N00'16 "

Lagna: Makara, Navamsa Vrisabha, Chandra Vargottama & Mangala Vargottama, Tuesday, Krsna Panchami.

The knowledge is based on what is given in Dr. Raman's Muhurta Book. He mentioned that Yoga-Vyatipata is defunct after midday.

My analysis: Chandra is alone in exaltation rasi and in Rohini Nakshatra of which he is the lord and is placed in a trine to Muhurta Lagna. Lagna is Makara and its lord is well-placed in the 7th in Karka with digvala. It is aspected by exalted Chandra. Tithi lord Guru is well placed in the 10th house. Vara and Karana lord Mangal is well placed in 9th house and Sukra is in parivartana with Budha, to be noted. Yoga lord Rahu is well placed in the 3rd house but close to gandanta. The navamsa is in trines to lagna rasi. But Muhurta Lagna and Muhurta Chandra are in 8th from my Janma Lagna and Janma rasi. This is not well for marriage but for ratna-dharana, will this be a difficulty ?

Your learned remarks are solicited.

Best wishes,

Sourav

Om Gurave Namah

Dear Sourav,

Namaste

MORE: If you orientate the navamsa so as there are no planets in the 8th, you might have to change the time to +/- 7:30hrs. The other thing to note is that if the lagnamsa is in the 11th or the lagna lord is in the 11th or either lagna lord or lagnamsa lord is in kendras, many doshas are destroyed. What we have to worry about is the 11 big doshas. If Venus and Jupiter in the rasi are capable of doing that, and their placements are not in the 8th in navamsa, it is fine.

Love,

Swee

Dear Sourav et al,

Namaste

The corundum family requires one to be pure; the diamond is based on varnas; wearing a gemstone from the beryl group requires that the gem is not an off-cut and the rest are not subjected to stringent rules. The feldspar group mentioned is Moonstone as one of them, though Rudhira is really not in the fledspar group but is obsidian (natural glass and slightly harder than glass) with tiny red hematite or goethite platelets that emits the readdish glitter – prominent deposits so far are found in the Northern Hemisphere in India and Russia. I have seen good fakes floating around in India with brownish overtones.

The comment given by Prafulla is based on lagna lord apart from Saturn and Mars which are based on planetary friendships.

Love,

Swee

For venus / saturn etc group - (e.g. tula rasi) - white pukhraj; and for guru/sun/mars etc group - yellow pukhraj.

Dear Sri Prafulla-ji,

namaskar. Sanjay-ji specifically recommended wearing Yellow Topaz (Maharatna - Yellow Sapphire) for my self with Tula Janma rasi. Hence I am attempting to do the same. What are the reasons for white sapphire, he suggested ?

Best wishes,

Sourav
