Palindrome mantras - To Sarbani

Dear Sarbani,

 

This post about Rahu and the palindrome in the Mantra of Garuda is very

interesting. I was not clear about the mantra however, because my computer is

not

decoding/translating the diacritical marks properly. In transliteration, is

the mantra " om pakri svaha " , and reversed, " kripa om svaha " ? Is this correct?

Which one of these two mantras is to be chanted?

Namaskar. It is " pakshi " or reversed

into " kshipa " . " Pakshi " literally means bird and here refers to Lord

Garuda possibly. Please wait for Sarbani-ji for instructions for

chanting.

Interestingly the forward word and reverse word both have valid

meanings in Sanskrit.

 

For example

" raama " : Name of Raama, Root sound for fire element. Name of black bird.

" mara " : dead, dying, Killing. ( " maara " )

 

Valmiki was a killer before he became a Rishi. He became a rishi after

meditating by repeating word " mara "

 

He composed the world's first poem, The Rama-ayaana. After he was

emotionally moved by the death of a partner in couple of Krauncha bird

(Black bird) by a hunter. No wonder Ramaayana brings so well the

seperation between couples.

 

 

Similarly,

 

" pakshi " (or " paxi " ) mean bird.

" xipa " means " a fast one " or " an arrow " or archer
