It is not that easy to pin-point a specific profession just out of Mercury itself as there are other planets, which are karakas for profession and career (Ex: Sun and Saturn). When you write " Powerful Mercury " you must think also of it's status in the navamsa and dasamsa when it comes to profession, i.e. Mercury should be strong there too. However, I always look at the navamsa to see the persons inherited abilities. Which planets are in trines to the navamsa lagna. Planets in the 5th indicate natural ability from past life and planets in the 9th house show which areas you will develop and learn throughout life. Same goes for planets in lagna (D9). This is general as rasi dirsti aspects also play an important role. Example: If Mercury is in the 5th in navamsa it will show that the talent for the above are there from birth. If in the 9th, knowledge can be acquired relatively easy (easier) later in life. I suggest that you dig into the archives and the lessons as there is plenty of material there just waiting to be explored. I want to have a business basically but i am not able to find wht direction will suit me.. I am fed up of having unstanblity in professional field actually. And tht is the only reason for my problems. thats why i asked if i can find out wht is specific direction for me. It was counting(Mercury) of Cars(Venus) made me survied in my dark period. Sad thing is i couldnt become his sincere student due to money which I dont have till date else I want to buy that COVA book. No planets in Navamsa trines are common and usually you'll see that those people have to work hard(er) in achieving goals within a chosen subject(s) of study and career. Nothing comes easy as one does not have it from the past. As an example take two people that you know well, where one learns a subject very quickly and the other have to struggle to achieve the same. Look at their Navamsa trines (with aspects...) - you'll be surprised even without looking at other factors. Taking into account the placement of the lords of the trines as well as the aspects on them is a MUST. You may gain more understanding by listening to Visti's Navamsa lecture " navamsa abilities, rectification etc " from 060212 (downloadable from www.SriGaruda.com).
