Hello list(s),

An Excel and PowerPoint presentation files are attached

Strength of planets in transit 1986 2021.xls

Transit strength of planets in 2005 PfR.ppt

(use "page down" or "page up" keys on your keyboard to move between slides)

have been uploaded to the FILES section of the SATVA101 and SAMVA webpages for your benefit.

SAMVA

The Excel file (2379 kb) includes a daily calculation of the strength of each planet (except the Moon). This file is too large to attach to this message.

The Powerpoint file (372 kb) contains graphs showing the transit strength of eight planets in 2005. I attach the smaller Powerpoint file to this message for SAMVA members (where file attachments are still allowed. Other members may view these files on the web pages indicated.

As the calculations are based on daily observations, the Moon is excluded. It is too fast moving to be possible to effectively calculate its strength with one observation for each day.

For the other planets, it is quite useful to have a visual understanding of the strength of the planets over time.

•Strength is calculated in %.

•100% means the planet has full strength.

•0% means it has none.

•A planet needs about 60% strength to defend its indications from severe transit affliction.

The calculation method (in Excel) was quite rigorous:

•The strength of planet is calculated for infancy and old age (does not apply to nodes) – ranges from 0% to 100%.

•The strength of a planet is calculated when in a state of combustion with the Sun (does not apply to Sun and nodes) – ranges from 0% to 100%.

•A planet is calculated to have 50% strength when transiting through its sign of debilitation

•When a planet is transiting through a Moolatrikona (MT) sign, the strength of the dispositor, the planet owning the MT sign (excludes nodes), is considered – ranges from 0% to 100%

•The lowest value, based on the above criteria, is selected.

In 2005, Saturn has been weak for the first part of the year. It is soon to regain full strength. In charts of interest, the functional and general indications of Saturn will have been weak in the first part of the year, and liable to setbacks in case of prolongoed affliction (if any). These very same indications are now re-gaining their strength.

Rahu was, likewise, weak in early 2005, due to the weakness in transit of its dispositor, Mars. When it entered Pisces, its strength returned.

By comparison, Ketu and Jupiter, have had a rather variable strength this year, due to, amongst other things, the variable strength of their dispositor, Mercury. With Jupiters move into Libra, its strength will be steadier on account of its dispositor. That said, it will then be combust later this year. As a result, the strength of Jupiter in transit is unusually variable this year. This has an impact on its indications.

The strength of Jupiter in August is temprarily less, when it becomes transit conjunct with the nodes. Hence, care is needed for its indications. However, it will then quickly regain strength in the second half of the month and things should thus improve again regarding its indications.

In the Excel file, you will see the actual calculation of the strength of all the planets as well as the average strength of planets for a given day.

Interestingly, in the autumn months of 2000 and 2001 there were many days when all the planets were in full (100%) strength (highlighted with yellow color). Not surprisingly, in the fall of 2001, created the Power Kavack.

Comparatively, in the autumn months of 2004, all the planets were exceptionally weak (highlighted with a pink color).

Fortunately, the second half of August 2005 and early December 2005 and early 2006, contain many days when the planets are again all in full strength.

Of course, to come up with an auspicious time at times when the planets are strong, they all need preferably to be located in good houses and not afflicted.

Adverse times could easily be predicted when planets are mostly weak in transit and many afflictions are operative. Indeed, when the functional malefics are weak, they cause more damage.

I hope you find this information of interest and use.

Best regards,

C
