Guest guest
Mr Kincaid--I have sent the following note to several lists and it should explain all---except that I'm STILL up, reading trying to understand the different systems I would VERY mush appreciate it if you would take a look at the post in the forum and tell me what your feelings are on this analysis. Thank You in advance!! Namaste, elaine PS I added you to my msgr last night and will be of and on today (unless I fall asleep ;)Hi Elaine: Did receive you on the Instant Messenger. Go ahead andfind me there again. Welcome again to our group.Mark Kincaid Namaste Honorable Gurujis, I am a beginning Jyotish student with some knowledge of Her Sister Sciences Ayurveda and Sanskrit as well as studies into Vedic Literature, Tantric Scriptures, the Classics, etc. I was a resident and the Webmaster at the Himalayan Institute (himalayaninstitute.org) for 2 years and was a student of Pandit Rajmani Tigunait. I am honored to have been a member of these groups for just a few weeks, however, the knowledge I have tried to absorb from everyone has been irreplaceable, and I thank everyone! I am currently studying with Bhaskarjis' group on the Jyotish-Ganga list, too. After attempting to do my own chart-and a simple analysis--I posted my information/history in a recommended "reading" forum on the Mystic Board: http://www.mysticboard.com/viewtopic.php?t=24096<http://www.mysticboard.com/view\ topic.php?t=24096 & postdays=0 & postorder=asc & s tart=0> & postdays=0 & postorder=asc & start=0 Unfortunately, I am MUCH more confused than I was before, and honestly *need* some answers. The main suggestion I can give you is to have a personal 'reading' done. When you have a reading part of the 'job' of a good Astrologer is to help youunderstand your chart! So, for example when I do people's charts I tell them about themselves but withthe expression value of them better understanding themselves, better! Then, as you go back to studying your chart on your own it'll make more sense! My history is on this post, so I won't repeat it except to say that I have had a VERY rough life for a long time, and this past 1 1/2 yrs have brought me to the breaking point. Most people's Jyotish doesn't focus so much on remedial measures like mine,so in a lot of Jyotish circles the main focus is on seeing how your chart fitsyou. So, if your 'very rough life for a long time' experiene can be found in yourchart, that means part of your chart is fitting you. However, the REAL purpose of Astrology; Western or Eastern is to really helpus evolve or improve ourselves and our lives. In other words there's an intrinsic meaning and lesson there in our Maleficplanets and configurations that we're meant to get.And once we get those, we'll immediately start feeling better! For example I did the chart of a r yesterday who has Mars & Venusin his 7th house. And in a previous, first reading we identified what all the different configurations in his chart meant. We both, came to realize that his Mars was acting partly malefic and he especiallly noticed this because he identified feeling rash and impulsive sometimes. So, one of my suggestions and remedies for him was to not be so Marish! To be less impulsive.Yesterday, when we talked again he told me that, that previous suggestionhelped him a lot.Today, we worked on some of the other negatives in his chart and life andin the near future I look forward to hearing of more progress in his life.I honestly believe that the Divine Mother guided me to this path 4 months ago for a reason--and I am trying VERY hard to glean *some* understanding so that I may help myself and hopefully things WILL get better. If you're having difficulties, try and keep it a little bit more simple for yourself. For example, in the beginning, just study your Planets, Houses and Signs.Don't go into aspects or nakshatras, or Dass, Transits, etc.Jyotish can be quite overwhelming if you try and take it all in too fast!heheInstead just try and figure out if the basic Planets in different signs, for example, fit you!Take the Sun in your chart. Does the Jyotish Sun sign fit you?Take the Moon in your chart. Does it's 'sign' fit you emotionally?Like that go through the different planets. If you stil find yourself having problems, then again, have a Jyotish reading.I have several readings which I do.In fact all the charts I do are listed on my website at:www..comThey're listed under "chart services".If you have the money I recomend the '2-session' reading the most.If finances are tight, then one reading is okay.If you're really strapped I have one reading which is only 1/2 an hour, butstill within that time it'll be enough to help you understand your chart better, and especially help you learn how to continue learning your chart on your own!My reason for submitting this tonight is because I have to schedule another very major surgery in the next few weeks. I am also having some serious financial problems---made worse I'm afraid because I gave my last savings today to the children mentioned in my post. (my former fiancée's children--he passed away 15 months ago). I ALSO got a call tonight regarding my teenage son in Guam--who has also been an ardent Devotee of the Mother for several years---but he was found with some drugs on his person. Although this type of "cluster crisis" is not any different than all the others--As you may already be gleaming, problems and struggles and losses like thishave a typically Saturn flavor to them. Though drug problems can also related to Rahu. The key to figureing out which planets are causing you your challenges is to1st figure out when these problems first came and what duration they've beenlasting. This time frame gives you an insight whether the difficulties are coming withinthe prescribed time frame of a Dasa or Transit period.Once you know which planet is causing, or I should say reflecting back to you, your previous karmas or consequences; then you can begin the real workof improving your situation by learning how to improve or strengthen thatprevious functioning malefic planet!I'd like to know if there are any specific practices I can or should be doing today during the Eclipse--A simple good exercise for handling eclipses, is to be easy, to stay in doors, and be meditating, or on the Self, during eclipses.Eclipses are metamorphically, the Rakshasa Rahu/Ketu trying to devour the luminaries; Sun and Moon. Therefore we exercise the Vedic remedy of deep, transcending type of meditation to have the best results.and I am also concerned about the timing of the surgery and my son's move back here with me next month.Timings are again, a view to look at the particular Dasas or Transits in whichyou're anticipating an important event.Events, like surgeries, trips, starting new businesses, and marriages, etc.are looked at through what is typically called a Murhurta.Finding a good 'Murhurta' or time to do any event is a classic Jyotish practice.I, too do Murhurtas. ANY response would be Greatly Appreciated!!! Aum Shantih: elaine elaineg_60@ msgr May 30, 1960 11:30AM Boston MA Longitude: 71W03 Latitude: 42N20 Leo AscThe main thing I see in a quick look of your chart, is that Saturn is transitingyour 12th house of loss right now! Also, because your Moon is there in your chart; this represents the classicmost intense part of Sade Sat for you.Sade Sat means the transit of Saturn upon or around your natal Moon.In your case your Moon's in Cancer in your birth chart. Saturn went through Cancer over the last 2 years; briefly went into leoand recently went retrograde and back into Cancer for awhile.I also have a special newsletter I created for people to watch and study theTransits more formally. And you can check that one out at:TodaysDailyWeeklyMonthlyYearlyStarsTransits/Hope this helps!Mark Kincaidps.. Oh yes, most people predict negative things around such occurances asSade Sat, however, there's a remedy here which is that Saturn teaches us aboutthe times and places in which we're supposed to grow within Saturn's silentand sweet, positive nature. And though you may not be able to sense this now, however, the very momentyou bring more Saturn silence into your life; any and all so-called Saturnstruggles and grief will become less overwhelming. For example, if one is feeling some sort of Saturn sickness, whether, flu, or stress or dis-ease; these symptoms are all Saturn signs trying to show usthat we need more Saturn rest! The moment we take ourselves out of activity and rest more, we'll immediatelyfeel better.Unfortunately when we're in the thick of Saturn grief we often don't have theproper mind set to do what needs to be done; so suffering continues.Check out the article I just wrote yesterday on Saturn for some help.good luck! !Om Gam Ganeshayaa Namaha!
