The transit of both Jupiter and Saturn are benign for Taurus. Saturn will be

moving over to the 3rd ( Sthanartha Bhrityadhikam ) and Jupiter will be

moving over to the favourable 5th ( Vitha Sukhapthim ).

 

According to Jathakadesam, one of the few astrological treatises which deal

with Transits, Saturn in the 3rd will cause improved socio-economic position

and more subordinates. Jove, on the other hand, will foster wealth and Sukha

Dear All:

 

I've been watching the discussion re. Guru & Shani's transits, for a few days now, and thought I'd contribute.

 

I have been studying the transits, making a chart of each and every day for over 16 years, now.

 

I don't know why I got so into watching the transits, but for me, it made all the rules, and principles of Jyotish come alive.

 

For example, you can experience for youself, these rules. When the Moon is in the same house as Sani, for example, you can literally feel that heavy, delaying almost depressive quality of Sani. Then, when the Moon goes into the very next house, that 'Sani quality' goes away. But, then, 2 1/2 days later when the Moon slides into the next House, that Sani quality comes back.

This I realized was a great verification of the Jyotish principle that Sani influences not only planets in the same house, but especially also, 3 houses away.

 

Right now, Sani is very strongly effecting Jupiter.... which is also within it's 3rd House aspect away.

 

Sani presently is running 27:05 degrees in Gemini, and Jupiter's running at the 26:31 degrees of Leo.

 

This means that Sani's 3rd house aspect, is very, extremely, effecting Jupiter just because their degrees of aspect are sooo close.

 

You can see the results in people's lives, very frustrating qualities of delay, and being held back.

Also, this transit seems to be having a very powerful effect upon the World Economys, too.

 

Since Jupiter & Saturn seem to be the primary planets of all progress and prosperity, it's not surprising that progress in economics, is so hampered and delayed right now.

 

In fact, if you've been following the relationship and influence of Saturn upon Jupiter since 1999, you'll know why we suddenly entered into a World wide, recession, and since that time, millions of people have lost their jobs and have been very frustrated because of this hampering due to Sani.

 

What people don't understand though, is what the purpose of Sani, is.

 

Sure, it's easy to see that Saturn's influence is a malefic one.

 

But, there's a blessing, here, in disguise.

 

When you stay up late, 3,4 or even 5 nite's in a row, and then,...get sick.... it's not surprising because you can see the actions...that directly lead to your 'sick' consequences.

 

Like that, Saturn reflects the 'collective', karma of having acted out of balance for a long time.

 

We were, in fact, enjoying a long prosperity, over 12 years, due to Jupiter's unencumberedness for 12 years before 1999.

 

Saturn could also be looked at as a very necessary time, to rest.

 

Those people, for example, who have very good Saturn's in their charts, dont' suffer the negative consequences of Saturn transits or even dasa periods.

 

This is because for them, they don't have the karma, of receiving negative results, and in fact, receive very powerful, positive results during their Saturn dasas and transits!

 

Why?

 

Because Saturn doesn't just represent hardship and grief. Saturn just represents 'balance'.

Jupiter represents expansion, and Saturn represents balance.

Together they represent the 2-steps of progress in life.

 

We take a step,....it's very progressive! and expansive....

 

But it's rarely known that that step forward depends upon a step behind, that's waiting, in fact securely anchored and steady, which is in fact the basis of the success of the step forward.

 

That 'behind step', is Saturn.

 

Jupiter's stepping ahead, and Saturn's stepping behind.

 

Together they constitute all forms of progress and prosperity.

 

When they're in-tune in a person's life, or even a society, life and progress will be smooth and unencumbered.

 

If either one of them is out of synch, then progress will be rocky, up and down, and frustrating.

 

The way we individually, can insulate ourselves against the collectively difficult, Sani or even Jupiter, malefic moments, is to strive...

 

to become more in-tune with Sani or Guru!

 

To me, this is the great purpose of Vedic Astrology.

 

Not just to know when the negative things will be happening.

 

But, also how to personally strengthen, those maleficnesses, into their naturally more desirable benefic sides!

 

The key, right now, during this interesting Sani > Jupiter transit, is not to strain, or rush ahead, but work with Saturn.

 

When you allow Saturn the time that it's requiring to move ahead, then you don't receive the negative aspects of Saturn.

 

Life then moves ahead gracefully, though admitadly more slowly!
