Dear Mrs. Wendy,That is OK.Just to give the background on the three day celebrations:1st day - the 14th day of the lunar month, chaturdashi is known as Narakachaturdashi. This is the day Lord Krishna killed demon Narakasura.

2nd day - Amavasya. Godess Lakshmi is worshiped on this day as traditionally this day is the beginning of the new financial year for businessmen.3rd day - Bali Padyami - King Bali got moksha in the hands of the Lord in the form of Vamana avatara on this day.

It is in tradition to light fire crackers on all three evenings and celebrate with distributing best wishes, sweets/dry fruits to friends and relatives.Regards,Krishna

Dear Krishna,

Many thanks for that. I was thinking that 17th Oct was the last day of

celebrations rather than the first. Hopefully I can do better next year,

God willing :-)

Best Wishes,
