2-All: Vedic astrology - Why called 'Vedic'....

Dear Shri Mark Kincaid,

Namaskar!

You have said

<One of the greatest descriptions I ever heard about so-called 'Vedic'

astrology was by the great Indian Guru, His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh

Yogi.

He said that what made Jyotish or Vedic astrology special, vedic or

true was the fact that it came from the consciousness cognitions of

Vedic seers.>

In this regard, I am separately posting (actually re-posting!) a copy

of my speech delivered a few years back at Rotary Club in West Delhi.

The heading of that speech itself is/was " Vedic astrology " --the

greatest fraud on the Vedas!

A copy of that speech was sent to the late Mahesh Yogi also, whom you

have quoted, apart from quite a few other dharmacharyas and jagadugurs

etc. etc. I have yet to receive any reply from any of the yogis or

dharmacharyas or jagadgurus!

You might also have observed that post on several other forums as well

including those of " Vedic astrology " .

All the questions raised be me in that post remain unanswered till

date even when posted on such forums as claim to be masters of " Vedic

astrology "

Would you be kind enough to go through that post now and let me have

your views regarding the objections raised by me as to why it is a

fraud to call any type of predictive gimmicks as " Vedic astrology " ,

especially since it is that very fraud which is compelling the entire

Hindu, Jain and Budhist communities etc. to celebrate all their

festivals and muhurtas on wrong days!

A K Kaul

Dear Shri Mark Kincaid,

Namaskar!

You have said

<One of the greatest descriptions I ever heard about so-

called 'Vedic'

astrology was by the great Indian Guru, His Holiness Maharishi

Mahesh

Yogi.

He said that what made Jyotish or Vedic astrology special, vedic or

true was the fact that it came from the consciousness cognitions of

Vedic seers.>

In this regard, I am separately posting (actually re-posting!) a

copy

of my speech delivered a few years back at Rotary Club in West

Delhi.

The heading of that speech itself is/was " Vedic astrology " --the

greatest fraud on the Vedas!

A copy of that speech was sent to the late Mahesh Yogi also, whom

you

have quoted, apart from quite a few other dharmacharyas and

jagadugurs

etc. etc. I have yet to receive any reply from any of the yogis or

dharmacharyas or jagadgurus!

You might also have observed that post on several other forums as

well

including those of " Vedic astrology " .

All the questions raised be me in that post remain unanswered till

date even when posted on such forums as claim to be masters

of " Vedic

astrology "

Would you be kind enough to go through that post now and let me have

your views regarding the objections raised by me as to why it is a

fraud to call any type of predictive gimmicks as " Vedic astrology " ,

especially since it is that very fraud which is compelling the

entire

Hindu, Jain and Budhist communities etc. to celebrate all their

festivals and muhurtas on wrong days!

Dear Moderator,

I too agree with Prashant and will request you that these kind of

posts should not be allowed to be posted here. I think the job of

moderator comes in place at times when such posts are being posted.

I think there is no need of discussion about the existence or non-

existence of Vedic astrology.

Dear Shri Prashatn Kumar,

You have said

" why is the A K kaul's posts allowed for yrs he is harping on a

stale, , stinking totten materil from someone who could never

understand Vedic astrology, its ptential its maginficence and

relevance to the people who need advice and not such spoilt brats "

A lot is being discussed about Vedic astrology pretext because it has

helped a lots of people.

I was under a similar impression myself. However, when non-believers

and agnostics and rationalists started asking as to which prediction

by which Vedic astrologer had saved which part of which country from

a Tsunami or disaster or a political coup etc. etc., I surveyed all

the old magazines and panchangas and forums to find out for

myself as to whether the agnostics and rationalists charges were

correct or not.

To my dismay, all I found was a curse of bables by Vedic astrologers

who appear to have no knowledge of the Vedas or even the Puranas!

Nobody had pedicted any such event at all! Nobody had warned about

Bihar floods or terror strikes etc. etc. All that had been said was

blah, blah, blah!

I found an echo of my views in Mr. A. K. Kaul's views. When I did

not see any of his posts on this forum, I asked him the reason for

the same. Mr. Kaul informed me that he had been banned from Vedic-

Astrology forum and several other forums for expressing his views!

It means that instead of discussing anything that does not suit the

interests of this forum, the person concerned has to be summarily

banned, as is being adovcated by you now!

That means all that Vedic astrologers are intersted in is stifling

the truth!

If that is what Hindu culture has advised, pl. go ahead! To me it

makes no difference if I also am banned like Mr. Kaul since I know

that he is on the right track and his message will reach the general

public, in spite of your banning him from this forum.

It appears you also do not know that you are celebrating all your

festivals and muhurtas on wrong days because of Vedic astrology!

Thus that very " branch of science " that is uprooting your own

culture, you want to continue to follow it and propagate it in the

name of dharma and saving the Hindu culture!

Is that the real Hindu and that also the real Vedic dharma?

With regards,

Jyotishis2001

PS I am no rationalist myself nor an agnostic. But facts have be

separaed from fiction.
