The marriage formula

Marriage is defined by the 2nd, 7th and 11th house. 2nd is setting up a family with the person whom one marries and 11th is for spouse being a friend/wish fulfilment. Several years back when I was researching this subject I sought the horoscope of a lady who had lived with a man in the same house, got a child and continued to live with the child, while the man walked out of her life. There was no legal marriage. I got the horoscope and verified and found that the 7th connection was missing- so no legal marriage.

May I seek the experience of the group. If the 2nd house turns negative in one's latter life, but the marriage does not break, does he live away from wife. I am seeking feedback on those who might have seen such cases. By the same token, if 2nd house is negative, can the person end up marrying but still not being able to set up family. As to 11th house, I would imagine when and if that turns negative in later years, the spouse may no longer be a friend.

I hope that the group understands that I am only seeking to widen my knowledge and not questioning basic formulations.
