Affliction questions

Dear Professor,

 

Is there a difference in the amount of damage that can be done by an 8L Sun

vs an 8L Saturn for instance? After all, the Sun is the king in the

planetary cabinet.

 

Also, when an FM causes a close or exact affliction in the natal chart (say

house 1 and 7), does it's ability to cause harm to other houses in transit

(say 3 and 9) increase? (Assuming of course that the 3 and 9 houses are

strong natally and not connected to the 1 and 7th)

 

One more question regarding afflictions. Any planet in a DH looses 50%

strength. It's also my understanding that a planet being placed in the 8 is

worse than the 12; which is in turn worse than being in the 6. (Please

correct me here if this is wrong). It's understood that the significations

of those houses become connected to the planets placed therein, but is there

a slight, subtle difference in % strength lost for the various DHs?
