Respected Sir and esteemed list,

I have been working to find a good muhurtha in the near future for

wearing gemstones for functional benefic planets. After many

combinations, the following one seemed reasonable:

August 12, 2006

Time: 3:12 am

Place: Port of Spain, Trinidad (10N39, 61W31)

Since this date and time does not satisfy all the parameters for an

auspicious time (but satisfies most of them), I seek your valuable

advise on the following:

1. The starting period is of FB Saturn, which is well placed, but

combust 73%. Can I go ahead considering that the combustion is caused

by a benefic Sun?

2. Sun suffers a very minor weakness being in old age 10% (it has

just crossed the 25 degree threshold) and that is the only reason for

a weak Mars.

3. All other planets are strong and well placed, especially Jupiter's

extremely strong connection with the MEP of the ascendant, 5th, 9th

and 11th houses. Mercury being the MBP is not only strong in its own

right but is also conjunct a strong FB Venus.

4. Moon is in U.Bhadra (Sa) Nakshatra. Though it is only 4 degrees

away from Rahu, Jyotish Tools tells me that it is strong due to good

placement and being bright. Should I go with that?

I would be grateful if I can get some guidance on whether the date

and time qualifies as a good enough muhurtha for wearing gem stones.

If not, advise me on an alternative date and time if possible.

Thanks and Regards

Sincerely

Chandra Shekhar

Hello Mr. Shekhar,

The next day at 3.00 AM is better than this. It would not be good to start

muhurata sub period with that of a combust planet for a long period of time.

Best wishes,
