Guest guest
Namaste, Jagannatha Hora 7.32 beta is ready for testing. Please download from the location given below. The file name is the same. Just unzip and execute. The download is less than 1 MB. You must have a working installation of 7.3 or 7.31 beta to install this update. This adds some cosmetic changes requested by Shanmukha for rasi-navamsa bitmap saving without AL, HL, GL etc and the option of using other starting points (e.g. utpanna tara, lagna, Mercury's longitude, bhrigu bindu, mandi etc) in all nakshatra dasas and not just in Vimsottari dasa. I will not add any more new features before the next formal release. I will only fix critical and major bugs found in this 7.32 beta release. Please report any bugs to me on jhora . In another ten days, I will make a formal 7.32 release. Best regards, Narasimha jhora , " Narasimha P.V.R. Guest guest
Namaste Narasimha, The changes you mention for this update works fine except for Shastihayani Dasa. If you opt for it, you can even see that the annotation you provide " Started from Lagna " appears for all conditional dasas except Shastihayani Dasa, and the calculation do not change either. Thanks -Narayan- jhora , " Narasimha Rao " <pvr wrote: > > Namaste, > > Jagannatha Hora 7.32 beta is ready for testing. Please download from > the location given below. The file name is the same. Im using JHora 7.31b and the Ishta and Kashta Phala calculations are not correct . The total of Ishta + kashta should be 60 . But in my chart and several other charts , none of the totals for any of the grahas amount to 60. I think there is a calculation bug and request you to please check . Also combustion from sun for different planets is not displayed correctly. i have merc and sat @ 3 " Libra and Sun at 15 " Libra , but the software does not show Sat / Merc as combust .. !! humble regards, Chandan S sabarwal. Guest guest
|| Om Gurave Namah ||Dear Chandan, Surprisingly I had the same doubt yesterday. I refered BV Raman's Bhava and Graha bala book. The formula given isLet 'C' denote cheshta BalaLet 'U' denote Uccha bala Let 'I' denote Ishta phalaLet 'K' denote Kashta PhalaIshta Phala I = Square Root ( CxU)Kashta Phala = Square Root ( (60-C) x (60-U) )Since the subtraction is withing the Square Root formula the values don't match. as direct I+K = 60 Not true. Guest guest
Namaste, Chandan. I agree with you. Although I understand that some - including Dr. Raman, teach the 'multiplication' technique, my teacher points out that to multiply Chesta by Uccha, then take the square root can lead to a mathematical dilemma. If either Uccha or Chesta are zero, then the product is zero...and the square root is zero. This completely negates the 'value' of the non-zero factor which, logically, is incorrect. Whereas if the 'addition' technique is used; i.e., the average of the two values is found, then one factor being zero will still influence the result but not negate the 'value' of the non-zero factor. Guest guest
||aum namah shivaya|| dear sanjay , namaste. i had also referred to the same book by B V Raman , and if you would notice , that after giving those formulas for Ishta and Kashta Phala , B V Raman calculates the values for the standard horoscope in the book and considering that example , the Ishta and Kashta phalas do amount to a total for 60 for all grahas . Also , there is a reference to the sum total of Ishta and Kashta phala always amounting to 60. reference is chapter 28 , BHPS.. the chapter no may differ depending on which translation of BHPS youre using , but BHPS clearly states that after ishta phala has been found out , it is simply to be deducted from 60 to obtain Kashta Phala . humble regards, Chandan S Sabarwal. Guest guest
Namaste friends, I have updated 7.32 beta with more functionality. I have changed the name of the exe and zip. Please download www.VedicAstrologer.org/jh/jh_update.zip Unzip it to get jh_update.exe. Run it. You MUST have a working copy of 7.3 or later to install this update. When you run jh_update.exe, it will copy JHora executable to the correct location. Compared to the last release of 7.32 beta, the following are added: (1) Starting point option was missing in shashtihayani dasa and it is fixed now. All conditional nakshatra dasas have a starting point option now. (2) Krishna Mishra navamsa is added as the third navamsa chart option. (3) Yogi, sahayogi and avayogi planets are shown. (4) Error in Bhrigu Bindu calcuolation is fixed. We are getting close to a formal 7.32 release. I will absolutely not add any more new features. Jusr report critical bugs ASAP. Guest guest
Namaste Narasimha, Thanks! Shastihayani Dasa works fine, however, the annotation doesn't matches the setting. So, if you initiate it with Lagna, the calculations seem correct, but annotation defaults to Moon. Thats it, rest all seems fine. Thanks Again. Regards -Narayan- jhora , " Narasimha P.V.R. Guest guest
Namaste, You are right. I misunderstood the definition given by Sri Ramadas Rao to me, which said to add 6 rasis to yoga point to get avayoga point. I took the 6th house, i.e. added 150 deg, instead of adding 180 deg. It is corrected and will be available in the next update. However, when yoga is siddhi yoga with Mars as yogi planet, avayogi can be either Mercury or Ketu. It depends on which half of siddhi yoga. It is not always Ketu. Thanks, Narasimha ---- devibhakt <devibhakt wrote: > Narashimha, > > The avayogi planet does not seem to be correct. Guest guest
Namaste, A more latest file can be downloaded from the same location with the same name. It is still called 7.32 beta. This is the release candidate, unless critical bugs are found. Compared to yesterday's release, this has the following changes: (1) Annotation of starting point chosen in shashtihayani dasa is fixed. (2) Avayogi calculation is fixed. (3) If one's display has a horizontal size of more than 1280 (e.g. 1600x1200 or 1440x1080 or 1920x1080 etc), then a " packed chart mode " is available (see the pop-up menu on charts). It shows 6 different divisional charts (instead of the normal two) in all chart windows, i.e. next to dasas, next to basic calculation etc. Best regards, Narasimha Do a Short Homam Yourself: http://www.VedicAstrologer.org/homam Do Pitri Tarpanas Yourself: http://www.VedicAstrologer.org/tarpana Spirituality: Free Jyotish lessons (MP3): http://vedicastro.home.comcast.net Free Jyotish software (Windows): http://www.VedicAstrologer.org Sri Jagannath Centre (SJC) website: http://www.SriJagannath.org jhora , " Narasimha P.V.R. Guest guest
Namaste, This kind of reporting is useless. As I see, sunrise and sunset times ARE properly calculated. If you give more data, I may be able to help. Give a date, place and the sunrise and sunset time that is correct in your opinion. I can then see why JHora is not giving those times. Also, there are several options for sunrise definition (Preferences >> Related to calculations >> Sunrise and sunset definitions). Try them. It is not always Ketu.Thanks,Narasimha---- devibhakt <devibhakt > wrote: > Narashimha,> > The avayogi planet does not seem to be correct. Try them. Best regards, Narasimha ------------------------- Do a Short Homam Yourself: http://www.VedicAstrologer.org/homam Do Pitri Tarpanas Yourself: http://www.VedicAstrologer.org/tarpana Spirituality: Free Jyotish lessons (MP3): http://vedicastro.home.comcast.net Free Jyotish software (Windows): http://www.VedicAstrologer.org Sri Jagannath Centre (SJC) website: http://www.SriJagannath.org ------------------------- jhora , " Narasimha P.V.R. Guest guest
Namaste Sri Narasimha, I have downloaded the recent beta update on Jagannatha Hor and I am listing the following finding. Kindly go through. 1. You have provided the Krishna Mishra Navamsa variation. Thank you very much. Yet, I want to suggest a small notification regarding the display of the Navamsa charts. I have used " Copy Chart -> as 300dpi bitmap for books (Rasi - Navamsa) option and found that the selected variety of the Navamsa getting generated in the resultant bitmap file. Yet, the name displayed at the middle of the chart is still Navamsa (of course, Telugu language selected). I feel if some indication of the variety of the Navamsa selected would be very good and gives much clarity. For example, Navamsa (KM), or as Jaimini Navamsa as my Guru calls it. 2. I want to have different types of Divisional charts displayed at a time. So, I used the Chakras tab -> Many Vargas. There I wanted to display three types of Drekkana in that tab. For example, Parasara Drekkana, Parivritti traya, and Somanatha Drekkana. But, when I select another Drekkana variation, already displayed Drekkana also getting changed. So, please go through this problem. Warm regards, Shanmukha jhora , " Narasimha P.V.R. Guest guest
Namaste, I saw the image you sent. The longitude is 15E55. The timezone you entered manually is 1 hour west of GMT. From the longitude and latitude, this place seems to be in Poland. That should probably be 1 hour east of GMT. So I think you are getting a wrong sunrise because you entered a wrong time zone. If you enter 1 hour east of GMT, sunrise will be at 8:01 am. This is with the default sunrise definition of Sun's center on the east. If you use the third option (Sun's upper tip apparent on the eastern horizon), it is a little more 7:55 am. Please check if you entered a wrong time zone. If you give more data, I may be able to help. Give a date, place and the sunrise and sunset time that is correct in your opinion. I can then see why JHora is not giving those times. Also, there are several options for sunrise definition (Preferences >> Related to calculations >> Sunrise and sunset definitions). Try them. It is still called 7.32 beta. This is the release candidate, unless critical bugs are found.Compared to yesterday's release, this has the following changes:(1) Annotation of starting point chosen in shashtihayani dasa is fixed.(2) Avayogi calculation is fixed.(3) If one's display has a horizontal size of more than 1280 (e.g.1600x1200 or 1440x1080 or 1920x1080 etc), then a "packed chart mode"is available (see the pop-up menu on charts). It shows 6 differentdivisional charts (instead of the normal two) in all chart windows,i.e. next to dasas, next to basic calculation etc.Best regards,Narasimha-------------------------Do a Short Homam Yourself: http://www.VedicAstrologer.org/homamDo Pitri Tarpanas Yourself: http://www.VedicAstrologer.org/tarpanaSpirituality: Free Jyotish lessons (MP3): http://vedicastro.home.comcast.netFree Jyotish software (Windows): http://www.VedicAstrologer.orgSri Jagannath Centre (SJC) website: http://www.SriJagannath.org------------------------- jhora , "Narasimha P.V.R.
