(1) Chara atma karaka (AK) is like Sun and chara amatya karaka (AmK) is like Moon. The tithi and yoga are normally found based on the longitude differential and sum, i.e. (Moon-Sun) and (Moon+Sun), respectively. If we use AmK and AK longitudes instead of Moon and Sun longitudes to find tithi and yoga, we get karaka tithi and karaka yoga. (2) These tables are for research purposes. If you click on the menu item " What's all this? " in that " MIscellany " >> " Laghu Parasari " view, you will get the following: " By adding the longitudes of various bodies and lagnas, years of some important events can be obtained.\nCounting of various amsas is also possible. These methods are basically like simple progression techniques. These calculations are given to facilitate research. As beginners we have below problems: A) Problem of giving importance to different things: Say we are looking at Jupiter's position in chart: * Jupiter is in 3rd house * Jupiter is 6th and 9th lord in 3rd house * Jupiter is in enemy's house in 3rd house * Jupiter is aspecting 7th, 9th and 11th house So how to give overall predictions as first is bad, 2nd is bad, 3rd is bad, 4th is good (as Ju is benefic) and come with overall predictions B) Problem of timing of events using Vimsottari dasa. It would be great if you could help us all learn predicting... Can you help us out by either writing a few articles explaining applied vedic astrology focussing on predictions and timing of events?
