Dear Bhagavati ji, I will second you on this. As far as Dasa etc is concerned, in many of the cases it is the dasa of of 8th lord (either from Lagna or Moon) combined with the Antara of the maraka planet that caused the death - It seems.Love and regards,Sreenadh , "bhagavathi_hariharan" <bhagavathi_hariharan wrote:>> Dear all,> > This is the best message I have read on this thread so far. Sreenadhji,

You are right and not only that, I think two of them atleast have the

8L in 8th itself and the native died in dasa of 8th. I have not had

much time to check all the charts. Anyways, we should thank Kansalji

for keeping our brains occupied

Dear Neelamji,

Has the nutritional deficiency of Folic acid in the preganant mother,

particularly in the first pregnancy, something to do with this or is it a purely

an astrological phenomenon? BTW I am not a non-believer in astrology.

Re: Research data for medical-astrology

Dear Sheevani ji,

Yes, I thought it could be a serious kind of spinal bifida, which is

technically meningocoele or mylomeningocoele.

This is generally fatal an infant dies soon after birth. Sh Kansal still has

to confirm if it.

Dear Sunil Bhattacharjya ji,

I am not a doctor of the medical kind.... And I am not aware of the

clinical angle. I guess it is some kind of development disorder, could

happen for many different reasons.

Dear Neelam Gupta ji,MY HEARTIEST CONGRATULATIONS !! You have hit the bull's eye with perfection.I knew from the very beginning, when you wrote the preliminary analysis of these cases, that it is a matter of time and little more effort - that you will come out with the correct answer. You wrote in your latest analysis:// The disease could appear in the lower back region as a lump in the spinal chord. Basically it could be something like a meningocoele which is an anomaly of central nervous system which is cerebral in origin but could appear initially somewhere in the spinal region. Here, with the kind of afflictions present, I feel it is in lumbar/sacral region but must also be paralysing the legs. Later it spreads and proves fatal. The child would definitely have something in the cranial region and dermal aberrations also. //Exactly, this is the phenomenon. All children had a bulge/lump in the lower region of the spinal chord at the back. Doctor was also telling the name of this disease on telephone, which I could not understand due to tough pronunciation - but now I remember that perhaps he was saying something like "meningocoele". The cause of disease was told to me as deficiency of some vitamins. Bulandshahr is basically an agriculture based district in Western U.P.. The disease occurred in mostly rural area surrounding this district. Many of the children had their legs paralyzed, as you wrote in your analysis. I have posted another set of several other birth-data today with similar disease. I would request you (and other scholars also) to analyze all these birth-data and post a detailed analysis of all these cases. It would be an unique analysis and research of it's own kind in the field of medical astrology. With warmest regards,Shyam S. Kansal , "neelam gupta" <neelamgupta07 wrote:

Dear Shyam Kansal Ji,

I had said,

//The disease seems to stem from some congenital deficiency at birth like

blockage/ malfunctioning of some gland/sensory area in the brain (aries).

But could've manifested first in abdominal region as virgo is afflicted with

saturn and ketu, the disease giver, or the legs.//

I maintain the same but if I have to zero down now, I would add thus:

I am taking the involvement of saturn, ketu, mercury with cancer, virgo and

aries. I would go with virgo for location of the disease because of

afflicted ketu and most of the dashas connecting thus. The disease could

appear in the lower back region as a lump in the spinal chord. Basically it

could be something like a meningocoele which is an anomaly of central

nervous system which is cerebral in origin but could appear initially

somewhere in the spinal region. Here, with the kind of afflictions present,

Later it spreads and proves fatal. The child would definitely have something

in the cranial region and dermal aberrations also.

If the disease can be detected within 1 and a half months of pregnacy,

then why cant they stop it ?

many people run the 8th Dasha at the time of their birth. Not all of

them get Death. Many people run the dasha of the 2nd and 7th house at

age of 50. Not all of them get married at age of 50.

The actual reason is something else which we may be missing,

Bhaskaran.

Dear kansalji,

Thank you for posting the answer. But please also check with the

doctor about the early detection in pregnancy. It is somewhat

puzzling to me. At about 40 days of pregnancy, pregnancy itself can

be confirmed!!

Hare ramakrishna

respected bhaskar ji

our quest here is just try to see wheter we can see early death in this chart ,if so what reason it can b .even tho many many contributing factors t there and even after astrologers predictions then critics can come out and say see he failed to tell the name of the discease as astrologer may fail to name the funny name of those discieses which is not our portfolio ,but we can still try can we identify early deaths in a kids chart and afflicted areas while at the time of birth ( atleast Neelam jis prediction proves it )

but again the question may arise why not to all those born is same time frame ,Offcource their our other principles of sandhi ,mrityubhaga also nite birth ,day birth ( with weak moon etc ) may come our aid .also it says any durlakshana happening at the time of birth of kids like digdahanam ( means u feel like all directions are burning ) and bad nimittas are pointers and which can b seen by local astrologer who is welversed in sastras.

i take this opportunity to congratulate smt .Neelam ji for her accurate prediction

Dear Ash jiI am afraid that concerned doctor has not kept any such record as to when the deaths occurred. Mostly, patients are relieved from the hospital after few days of treatment. Children died mostly at their homes. However, being a leading neuro-surgeon, he could presume approximate remaining days of his patients according to the severity of the disease. He just noted that patient has died whenever he got the news later on.Regards,Shyam , "Ash's Corner" <kas wrote:Dear

Dear Bhagavathi jiYou may be correct. I am not much aware about this aspect. As I wrote in my earlier mail that I was able to talk to the concerned doctor today over cell phone, after several attempts. He is very busy practitioner of our district. I asked him several questions to gain more knowledge about the said disease. He told me several things about the disease, (including it's name, which I am unable to re-collect properly now due to it's tough spelling).I do remember very-well that he said that bulge on the spinal chord can be detected in very early stages of pregnancy, and though I'm not very sure, I think he mentioned it as 6 weeks. I may be wrong in "6-weeks" statement. I will try to re-confirm it from him and if I could, I will inform this forum with the correction.Kind regards,Shyam , "bhagavathi_hariharan"

Dear kansalji,

Thank you for posting the answer. But please also check with the

doctor about the early detection in pregnancy. It is somewhat

puzzling to me. At about 40 days of pregnancy, pregnancy itself can

be confirmed!!

Dear All, I am much interested in this issue on Medical Astrology, i have also my own dates of birth and diseases i analyze as i have this possibility, working in healthcare. On this topic i was thinking also if there is possible to think about some group Karma, or social Karma, because as we know the epidemic phenomenas are common all over the world, in all times. For details on these epidemic diseases see:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epidemic I was thinking if in this epidemic cases which are giving a high rate of mortality we can find astrological reasons, perhaps planets as Jupiter, or Saturn which are not so fast moving, in debilitated signs, can give some answers.Love and kind Regards,Liana , "revati_n27" <revati_n27 wrote:>> Dear Kansalji:> > Sorry for diverting the subject, I am very surprised by the number of > infant deaths in a time span of three years in a small place. Dear Jaya ji,

I full agree with you and this was thought that was lingering in my

mind at the first instance when I went through this data. It is very

sad that that so many infant deaths take place when the medical field

is so advanced. Now as the cause is given as to malnutrition of the

pregnant mother, I wonder why no one took any step to prevent it so

far.

Dear learned members of the forum,

I decided to keep myself away from the " Research data for medical astrology " But

I am sorry to intervene as I feel that the group is going way from the thread.

The members are putting queries as if they are medical practitioner. I am teach

medical astrology since 1993.

I stared teaching astrology in Bhartiya Vidhya Bhawan in 1993 and continue the

same in ICAS till date. So I shall like to request the members of the forum that

they should keep in mind that they are only astrologer not medical man. As an

astrologer we can predict the period of on set of disease, 2. the locality of

the disease, 3. whether the disease will be acute or chronic, 4. longevity of

the patient. We should keep in mind that the free will and medical help can

change the period of longevity. The astrology in indicative not determined

science. I shall like to advice dear friends that they should not try to give

names to the disease. If they try to give the name to the disease such as

cancer, there are so many types of Cancer according to the locality and tissue

involved. The heart problem is hear problem, liver problem is liver problem, do

not try to give name.

So far as death of children is concerned, I have found that 1. Moon is

afflicted, 2. lagna and lagna lord is afflicted, 3. kendra from lagna or Moon

are occupied by the malefic planets, 4. house is occupied by malefic planet, 5.

the birth at sunrise or sunset, 6. gandant nakshatra, 7. Dasha of maraka or

badhaka or 22nd dreshkone, or 64th navamsha etc. But these are the main points

to be considered for the death of a child. Our whole classic texts are full of

balarisha which give indications of death or illness prevailing according to

Desh, Kala, and Patra.

These are my personal views you are free to differ with me.

Regards.

Hare ramakrishna

respected bhaskar ji

our quest here is just try to see wheter we can see early death in this chart

,if so what reason it can b .even tho many many contributing factors t there and

even after astrologers predictions then critics can come out and say see he

failed to tell the name of the discease as astrologer may fail to name the funny

name of those discieses which is not our portfolio ,but we can still try can we

identify early deaths in a kids chart and afflicted areas while at the time of

birth ( atleast Neelam jis prediction proves it )

but again the question may arise why not to all those born is same time frame

,Offcource their our other principles of sandhi ,mrityubhaga also nite birth

,day birth ( with weak moon etc ) may come our aid .also it says any durlakshana

happening at the time of birth of kids like digdahanam ( means u feel like all

directions are burning ) and bad nimittas are pointers and which can b seen by

local astrologer who is welversed in sastras.

i take this opportunity to congratulate smt .Neelam ji for her accurate

prediction

Dear Revati ji, As per wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spina_bifida)- ============== There is no single cause of spina bifida nor any known way to prevent it entirely. However, dietary supplementation with folic acid has been shown to be helpful in preventing spina bifida (see above). Sources of folic acid include whole grains, fortified breakfast cereals, dried beans, leaf vegetables and fruits.[15]

Folate fortification of enriched grain products has been mandatory in the United States since 1998. The FDA, PHAC[16] and UK recommended amount of folic acid for women of childbearing age and women planning to become pregnant is at least 0.4 mg/day of folic acid from at least three months before conception, and continued for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.[17] Women who have already had a baby with spina bifida or other type of neural tube defect, or are taking anticonvulsant medication should take a higher dose of 4–5 mg/day.[17]

Certain mutations in the gene VANGL1 are implicated as a risk factor for spina bifida: these mutations have been linked with spina bifida in some families with a history of spina bifida.[18]================== Thus lack of nutritious food seems to be one of the major reason.Love and regards,Sreenadh , "revati_n27" <revati_n27 wrote:>> Dear Kansalji:> > Sorry for diverting the subject, I am very surprised by the number of > infant deaths in a time span of three years in a small place. Dear Shri Kursija ji and the learned members,

I agree completely with Shri Kursijaji, here. The astrologers job is enough to pin point the area of disease, whether it would be fatal or recoverable, if recoverable then when ? These issues if an astrologer is able to solve, then it is just more than enough. Anything better than that is always welcome, of course, but not within the framewok of the astrologer, and neither expected from him.

Longevity ise is another isue which is not easy to be tackled at all. So however much a astrologer may learn about balarishta yogas, it would be difficult for him to point out early death, and even if he does so, how could one tell the parent that " Your child would die early , as I find this disease setting up in his body " To achieve this perfection in astrology is not a easy cake walk, to tell a parent about incoming death of their new born child is a grave task, and a solid reason would have to be told to the parents supplementing this revelation, as to what disease is seen incoming.

Which emans that the astrologer would have to be perfect on 2 counts -

1) Predicting longevity, in this case early death to the new born.

2) Predicting the disease.

Because if the astrologer only talks about the first point without mentioning the 2nd point to the parent, he would be thrown out of the house of the native within no time.

Hope I am making some sense .

Another point, Shri Shyam Kansalji , Medical enquiry comes first in medical cases ad then comes astrological enquiry. If the Doctor cannot predict early death to the child with hundreds and thousands of means and resources, an astrologer may not be able to help much in those cases of early deaths. For instance, the sex- determination is more easier with a sonography done on the pregnant lady, rathr than goin to a astrologr and asking him what could be my childs sex. ( This is a seperate matter tha its no longer legal, but almost all private clinics do unofficially reveal , what is being enquired ).

Astrologers would do better at predicting other matters of day to day, rather than predicting balarishta or sex determination, or the exact day of marriage, or answering such intense queries, because for that one needs a rigourous discipline, a life of austerity and yama and niyama , of all types, for the astrologer, coupled with a good volume of knowledge concerned to astrology and astronomy, strengthened with experience due to the major part of his Life devoted to studying astrology. And not many of us, pass this test.

best wishes,

Bhaskaran.

I agree with all points which u pointed out ,which very much true .

even if we know ( means many astrologers those who r good and has nativs chart ,prashna and nimmittas --so he knows it if consulted personly and in face to face ) but the speling out the truth is real problem .

Even sastras underlines many pre conditions b4 we predicting ,even we cannot predict bad or death of some ones life partner ( unless we sure abt the intention of quesriest --astrologicaly mainly and also logicaly ) as some may came to devise some bad plan and it can back fire on astrologer as he was a party in that bad karma .same is the case with other bad sounding predictions the dilemma of astrologer is there .

thank u for a thought provoking mail

Dear Ash Ji,That is an interesting set of charts you have given for furthering our thoughts on the subject. With my little knowledge about KAS, I am making an attempt on the charts.I was interested in 3 things:First is the Main Period Lord, second is the reason for death and the third is the type of death.Main Period Lord:1. For the timing of events such as death, Main Period Lord is also to be considered as per a message I read in the archives. And of course the general rule says that the main period is that of Karaka planet or its SD. So I tried to correlate the MPL with the karaka for death. I did not touch the sub period lord as you have already given the probable dates. Further when I went through the entire message link in the ancient-indian-astrology group, I find that the exact date of death is not known. However, since it is mentioned that the death happened within a year or two of birth, you have probably worked out the sub periods. So, for the same reason, I took up the MPL based on your fixation of Sub-lord.Rules I found for fixing the MPL:a. Event would generally be limited to the house for which the MPL is the FK and then for the houses for which it is NK. It may also take place for which MPL is karaka for house D & E. From the above I find that in 4 cases the rule does not apply. So went to the next rule which says:

c. If death is due to illness, then karaka for 6th is to be seen. If death is due to accident, then karaka for 2nd is to be looked into and if death is delayed after accident then karaka for 1st is seen. If death is due to action of law.. ex. execution etc., then karaka for 7th is to be taken. In the present case all the deaths were due to illness which had come right from 1.5 months of pregnancy. Hence I thought it should not be treated as a natural death. So I applied the 2nd rule i.e. I took the karaka for the 6th house. Here is the list of karakas for all the charts along with the MPL and its relation to the karaka. Focus house is 6th.:

So we can conclude that the death was due to illness denoted as above and this forms the reason for the death.

However I found in one message that the (a) 8th house indicates death-house B; (b) 3rd house indicates the reason for death-Karakatwa-house A; © 12th indicates the type of death-house C.

From the messages in the ancient-indian-astrology group, I find that the reason for the death was:

"All children had a bulge/lump in the lower region of the spinal chord at the back. and the name of this disease is "meningocoele". The cause of disease was beause of deficiency of some vitamins. Bulandshahr is basically an agriculture based district in Western U.P.. The disease occurred in mostly rural area surrounding this district. Many of the children had their legs paralyzed."

How to fix this in our KAS - both for reason for death and type of death.

Dear

Bala ji,

This

time again, some very strange phenomenon occurred when I was about to discuss

this with Guruji.

Guruji’s computer got spoilt just about the time I started

to talk about this topic of Death.

Time

and time again, this experience I have experienced and have written about it

many times on the list sharing my experience.

I

am not even going to begin to explore this further and now after this incident

have no desire at all to go into this topic.

Something

or some higher power is time and again stopping me. So I must respect that.

I

shall not be studying this topic, till I get the green signal from Guruji and

the higher powers.

So

many times, this thing has happened, it can’t be a coincidence.

So

many times even Guruji tried to give a write up on this topic and his mails

never reached the list. Why?

Cheers !!!

Re: Research data for medical-astrology

Dear

Ash Ji,

That is an interesting set of charts you have given for furthering our thoughts

on the subject.

With my little knowledge about KAS, I am making an attempt on the charts.

I was interested in 3 things:

First is the Main Period Lord, second is the reason for death and the third is

the type of death.

Main Period Lord:

1. For the timing of events such as death, Main Period Lord is also to be considered

as per a message I read in the archives. And of course the general rule says

that the main period is that of Karaka planet or its SD. So I tried to

correlate the MPL with the karaka for death. I did not touch the sub period

lord as you have already given the probable dates. Further when I went through

the entire message link in the ancient-indian-astrology group, I find that the

exact date of death is not known. However, since it is mentioned that the death

happened within a year or two of birth, you have probably worked out the sub

periods. So, for the same reason, I took up the MPL based on your fixation of

Sub-lord.

Rules I found for fixing the MPL:

a. Event would generally be limited to the house for which the MPL is the FK

and then for the houses for which it is NK. It may also take place for which MPL is

karaka for house D & E. (This point I am not able to understand)

If death occurs in the 3rd Lord's Mahadasa or its SD, then it might be an

indicator of a more natural death rather than by some other means. The Mahadasa

is important at the time of death as it shows the karaka and reason for death.

From

the above I find that in 4 cases the rule does not apply. So went to the next

rule which says:

c.

If death is due to illness, then karaka for 6th is to be seen. If death is due

to accident, then karaka for 2nd is to be looked into and if death is delayed

after accident then karaka for 1st is seen. If death is due to action of law..

ex. execution etc., then karaka for 7th is to be taken.

In the present case all the deaths were due to illness which had come right

from 1.5 months of pregnancy. Hence I thought it should not be treated as a

natural death. So I applied the 2nd rule i.e. I took the karaka for the 6th

house.

Here is the list of karakas for all the charts along with the MPL and its

relation to the karaka. Focus house is 6th.:

Hence becomes SD to Ju. Also karaka for house E is Ma.

08/12/2005

Me

Ma

Ra

Ra

is like Ju and/or Me. So MPL is Me and equates to FK.

Also karaka for D is Me. Ke is placed in karaka house who

will behave like Me (Vi)

27/12/2005

Ju

Ma

Ju

FK

and MPL are same. Ra is placed in A6 and will behave

like Ju (Pi)

So

we can conclude that the death was due to illness denoted as above and this

forms the reason for the death.

However

I found in one message that the (a) 8th house indicates death-house B; (b) 3rd

house indicates the reason for death-Karakatwa-house A; © 12th indicates the

type of death-house C.

From

the messages in the ancient-indian-astrology group, I find that the reason for

the death was:

" All

children had a bulge/lump in the lower region of the spinal chord at the back.

and the name of this disease is " meningocoele " . The cause of disease was beause of deficiency of

some vitamins. Bulandshahr is basically an agriculture based district in

Western U.P.. The disease occurred in mostly rural area surrounding this

district. Many of the children had their legs paralyzed. "

How

to fix this in our KAS - both for reason for death and type of death.
