Guest guest
Hello members, I have come across few discussions by experts where it is suggested that Jupiter may harm the karakatwa of the house where it resides. One of the explanation provided was - Jupiter is a territorial and expansive planet. And also the tendency is more when it occupies Kendra position. I wish that learned members take up this issue for detailed discussion. Regarding saturn in 7H, so far I followed Sri Rath's teaching. He suggests that 7H in Rashi chart indicates how the person looks at the relationship. The 7H in navamsha indicates how his relationship works. He puts more emphasis on UL. Anyway, as I understand, the SJC teachings may not be in line with Ancient astrology. Guest guest
Dear All,I also agree with Renuji and am also speaking from experience of seeing several charts of 84 births.Ofcourse the results do get modified in each individual based on the merits of the chart. In 84, we have an exalted saturn and own house/mooltrikon jupiter. -- saturn is in libra--exalted with directional strength being 10,11 lord of Zodiac takes care of the karma and dividends. (an exalted lord gives name, fame & prosperity in its area of operation)-- strong jupiter in 9H of zodiac protects the dharma trine giving strength to lagna/education/children and the person reaps the harvest of his purva punya. --- This saturn aspects jupiter in dhanu thus transferring his power to bhagya lord. (any planet is able to deliver his results through aspect only when another planet is posited in the sign aspected, meaning if this exalted saturn would aspect empty sagitarius rashi, there would be no rajyoga). The 10th lords aspect on 9L does give these individuals an edge over other natives when say next year Jup gets debilitated in capricorn. These are very generalised results but i have seen them manifest in the charts and almost all the natives in this group (an i know not less than 25) are doing wellin life having entered good professional lines through competitions and are earning well already. -- the point about marriage (whether late or not) is a bit early to discuss. may be after 3-4 years a better picture will be seen.-- saturn makes them hardworking, balanced individuals and being in strength gives them ample rewards for their hardwork. -- Many of them have moved out of country or went out of birth place to study, etc. (7H saturn takes you away from birth place). We could thus go on with the merits of this position. Similarly there are demerits also, which we could discuss. regardsneelamOn 19/01/2008, Sreenadh <sreesog wrote: Dear Kiran ji, Know that Renu ji is speaking from her direct knowledge of numerous known charts in her collection, and also that most of the transilations are not upto the mark and is out of context. Mixing systems can cause trouble in correct result derivation - beware! As per these traditional school, aspect has nothing to do with the fact whether the sign is empty or not. Guest guest
Dear Sreenadh ji,Some learned gurus at BVB did believe in this. They say that the aspect in an empty house is like trying to deliver a parcel where there is none to receive it.So we try and apply this rule. Aspects do seem to work better this way. It may not be wise to mix things as you say. But even in parashar's yogkarak aspects, the results are achieved when say 9L aspects 10L and more so 10L in 10H and not when it aspects 10H only. (this is clearly given in Laghu Parashari also). regardsneelamOn 19/01/2008, Sreenadh <sreesog wrote: Dear Neelam ji, ==> > any planet is able to deliver his results through aspect only when another planet is posited in > the sign aspected, meaning if this exalted Saturn would aspect empty Sagittarius rashi, there > would be no rajyoga <== This is NOT an ancient indian astrology (i mean Arsha, Garga, Yavana schols) dictum; but instead seems to have come from Jaimini or tajika school. Guest guest
Saturn in the 7th house aspects the Lagna. Saturn shrinks, wrinkles, reduces where it looks. - So one can derieve its effect on lagna. Saturn also deprieves and some people react like manner with other people - so we feel they are mean. It also karaka of Vairagya - from ascetics who have renounced the world to disheveled people who have left their home and are roaming around - you will find influence of saturn in varying degrees beneficial or otherwise. They are obviously not bothered about their appearances. Saturn is a loner and karaka of adhyatma. It brings about the downfall of a person by : 1. Slowing him down, 2. by inflating his ego, which is later bound to get punctured.--- On Sat, 19/1/08, Kiran R <kiran.rama wrote: Kiran R <kiran.ramaRe: Re: sani in 7th house and delay of marriage . Guest guest
Dear Neelam ji, You may be right - or may not be. But the point is we are trying to understand the methodlogy of the sages through their own words here. So the question would arise , which is the quote that tells us that - "any planet is able to deliver his results through aspect only when another planet is posited in the sign aspected, meaning if this exalted Saturn would aspect empty Sagittarius Rashi, there would be no rajyoga". If you have one, I would request you to provide the same; so that we all can keep a watch on this dictum. Guest guest
Dear Sreenadh ji,Sorry for arguing again, for I may be wrong again, but I would appreciate if this doubt is settled once for all. " any planet is able to deliver his results through aspect only when another planet is posited in the sign aspected, meaning if this exalted Saturn would aspect empty Sagittarius Rashi, there would be no rajyoga " I have learnt that to an empty house the planet will give only its malefic/benefic aspects as the case may be. A benefic will augment the results of the house and a malefic will harm the house as per their general karkatwas (depending upon its strength) . Whereas if a planet like exalted saturn who may also be yogkarak or rajyog producing planet, will give yogkarak results of its lordship when a planet is posited in the aspected sign or he is himself sitting in the other sign. e.g. if a yogkarak mars is aspecting say Jupiter in 4H, it'll give its results through Jupiter in appropriate dasha, wheresas if Jup is not posited in 4H, this mars will only cast its malefic spell on the 4H, especially if its functional malefic also. Hope I am able to make myself clear. Guest guest
Dear Neelam ji, I am yet to see any quote that says the same - and don't believe in that dictum. If you believe it to be so - I would request you to provide the supporting quote and clarify it using an example; an example chart that badly requires this dictum to explain the actual event that took place. Love and regards, Sreenadh , "neelam gupta" <neelamgupta07 wrote: Re: Re: sani in 7th house and delay of marriage . Dear Sreenadh ji, Sorry for arguing again, for I may be wrong again, but I would appreciate if this doubt is settled once for all. "any planet is able to deliver his results through aspect only when another planet is posited in the sign aspected, meaning if this exalted Saturn would aspect empty Sagittarius Rashi, there would be no rajyoga"I have learnt that to an empty house the planet will give only its malefic/benefic aspects as the case may be. But I shall be most grateful to get your valuable opinion on this.RegardsNeelamOn 19/01/2008, Sreenadh <sreesog wrote: Dear Neelam ji, You may be right - or may not be. Guest guest
Dear Kiran, As you have said the classics give indications of grahas in houses and Saravali , perhaps does say what you quote. However one has to read it with Shloka 2 Adhyaaya 4 where it says that Shani gives sorrow only if weak and when strong it gives contrary (good) results. Tatwapradeep says what I indicated and this exception has also to be applied to what is stated by Saravali, perhaps? Chandrashekhar. Of course, there will be exceptions and we can learn from you and other learned members like Sreenadhji, Sunilji, Sreeramji etc. This is what Saravali of Kalyana Varma says: "If Saturn is posited in the 7th, the native will always be subjected to ill health, will lose his wife, be bereft of wealth, will present himself ugly, be sinful and will do very mean acts" Regards Kiran Chandrashekhar <sharma.chandrashekhar > wrote: Dear Hasmukhrai, You are right. Guest guest
Dear Neelam, I think Sreenadhji is right. Aspect of an exalted Saturn on any bhava, whether holding a graha or not will influence the results of that bhava. Chandrashekhar. neelam gupta wrote: Dear Sreenadh ji, Some learned gurus at BVB did believe in this. They say that the aspect in an empty house is like trying to deliver a parcel where there is none to receive it. So we try and apply this rule. Aspects do seem to work better this way. Guest guest
Namaste Neelam Certainly agree with you regarding true “Rajyoga” only being possible when Grahas are either aspecting one another or in Parivatna (exchange of Houses) but please don’t confuse yourself in thinking that Grahas have No affects when aspecting “empty” Houses/Signs …. Inaddition important to always keep in mind the relationship between the Grahas and the Lagna Lord as to whether it will be beneficial or negative regarding results given …… Best wishes …. Guest guest
Dear Chandrashekarji,Looks like any planet when exalted or in own house gives good results irrespective of house ownership and nature (benefic/malefic).So whether a planet does good or bad depends on its strength - An exalted Saturn would definitely give better results than a debilitated Jupiter/MarsRegardskiranChandrashekhar <sharma.chandrashekhar wrote: Dear Kiran, As you have said the classics give indications of grahas in houses and Saravali , perhaps does say what you quote.
