Is it any wonder astrology(vedic/chinease/western) all of them use animals in their zodiac! Most likely because these " earthly beings " all co-exit together on the same planet. Indeed, Dog is a man's best friend..Friendships are usually based on similarities, or some common grounds :-)..While it may be true you can't teach a dog new tricks, they have proven to be utterly " LOYAL " (will risk his life to save his master), more so then humans! They also have a strong sense of " SMELL " which makes them very helpful in locating criminals in a crime scene..So overall they are quite useful (including pit bulls)..So we lovingly kept as pets.
