testosterone poisoning :)

This has got to be about the weirdest 296 posts of all time.:)

It's been sort of interesting, and a little unsettling, but mostly I keep coming back to this saying by Epictetus:

"I think I know now what I never knew before--the meaning of the common saying, "A fool you can neither bend nor break."

Pray heaven I may never have a wise fool for my friend! There is nothing more intractable.--"My resolve is fixed!"--Why, so madmen say too;

but the more firmly they believe in their delusions, the more they stand in need of treatment."

You all seem to have such well established beliefs. Doesn't that make you just a little nervous? Have you stopped questioning, or perhaps you don't think it any longer necessary? So weird. ( And that goes for you, too, .b.bb. :) )

Who here honestly believes in their own superiority? I cringe to see all these hands go up :)

But I leave you with a gesture of goodwill, and thanks to all those who tried to answer some of my questions :)

D: To everything there is a season. Including a season

to rest from questions and answers.

D: The only other to be superior to, is the one projected, who is

the projection of one's sense of inferiority.

Otherwise, neither self nor other, neither superior nor inferior.

D: You're welcome. And you're certainly welcome to interact

more if you'd like. But if not, so it goes.

The conceptual idols we carve may not charm everyone. Once one gets tired of the

idols, maybe it's better to get drunk on devotion. In the business of

intellectual path there's always someone for the job. A happy madness without a

thought, sometimes it's better to run.

hahahahahahahaha!

you're the best dabbo!

honest to God you are.

where in hell do you see YOUR name posted on Gloria's?

you really think everything is about YOU.

and you think YOUR response and obsequious comments are necessary.

you think people need YOU to comfort them..to love them..to KNOW them.

LOL!

what a typical child you are sonny.

cute stuff once again dabbo.

..b b.b.

p.s.

Gloria..

if you be yet there..

thanks for the mention dear.

but i have no real beliefs except the one that says that i don't.

i have no questions nor answers either.

i find those who think they have either..

and think either are of some mystical or fundamental value..

are generally numb skulls who only want to hear themselves...

and want others to believe that they are being " deep " .

LOL!

and then they usually pull try and pull off..

some attempt at wise and loving SELF expression of concern..

for the " others " they claim are not really other.

like sweet little deluded dabbo above.

he thinks he's like Jesus or Buddha or some creep or other...

if not God Herselfship.

it's a beautiful trip to watch..

but also for kids like him and his pals of the same ilk..

it's a needful thing to bring them back down to earth once in awhile..

before they shit their pants with self indulgent cozening.

yes ma'am it's weird and wonderful and fun as all get out too.

we all hope to see you in the funny papers again some time.

take a load off now and jump on the free breeze.

:-)

..b b.b.

Nisargadatta , "Gloria Wilson" <gloriawilson wrote:>> You all seem to have such well established beliefs.Well now, that's an interesting belief.Where did it come from?Who is the 'all', really?

G:

I d last night, but I guess I get led out at dawn :)

Tim, here's the problem, as I see it. Fixating on anything at all is a big red flag. It means that beliefs are being replaced by the beliefs of no beliefs, and another more subtle egoing is happening. I'm trying to stay open to that, and keep going. I suspect there are still surprises in store for all of us. I am actually in agreement with nearly everything you have said, yet it is wrapped in fatigue. Fatigue generally comes from clinging.

Dunno.

In my experience, the knowledge of Oneness can be used just like any other belief; a security blanket, a treasured possession or a springboard to nothing.

To say there is nothing to spring towards and nothing to spring is avoidance, not acceptance, if it is believed. As is it's opposite. My response to knowing that is to move on, and not get lost in the illusion that my mind can resolve this conflict of thought and action.

G: I supose there is a season to indulge in the illusion of knowing, as well. If every question can be answered, it's time to move on from that illusion of resting, I think.> Who here honestly believes in their own superiority? I cringe to see all these hands go up :)D: The only other to be superior to, is the one projected, who isthe projection of one's sense of inferiority.Otherwise, neither self nor other, neither superior nor inferior.

G: of course. So why all this posturing? Quiet or unquiet posturing? It feels "off" is all I can say.
