Guest guest Report post Posted August 13, 2001 That which appears as this body/mind is a Viet Nam Veteran with PTSD. From that condition I must say the dissolution of dreams and nightmares has been a blessing for which praise must be given to my Teachers and counselors and other veterans. The masters over the ages have said much on the dream state and deep sleep. Not being one for trying to explain the unexplainable I can only say that from my incomplete understanding that in the dream the 'I' is always there in some form as in the waking state. If dreams occurr without memory, perhaps there is no or limited connection to the I. The wonder of deep sleep appears to be the complete absence of that I. What a relief! That final release would appear to be that same complete absence of the 'I' in any state. --- Nisargadatta wrote: >
