Dear Haribhaktas,

As announced earlier by the prerane of

Shri Hari, Vayu, Gurugalu, we will be celebrating Shri Madhwanavami at

Livermore Temple on Sunday, Feb 7, 2010 from 7AM - 5PM. It is an all day

function.

This year we are blessed to have Shri Gopeenath Galagali who has

been invited to fly out to Bay Area from North Carolina. We are blessed to have him

participate and deliver pravachana during the function.

Below is a brief introduction to Shri Gopeeenath Galagali :

Son of pandit Shri Pandharinatharya Galagali, Shri Gopeenath is a desciple of

Sri Pejavara Swamiji. Shri Gopeenath has studied scriptures/ Madhva shastra for

12 years at vidyApeeta, Bangalore. At present working in IT, residing at Charlotte, NC.

He enjoys doing Patha, Pravachana and poojas as a hobby on weekends.

By the prerane of Shri Hari, Vayu, Gurugalu as in the

previous years we are celebrating Shri Madhvanavami on Sunday,

Feb 7th, 2010 at Livermore Temple, California. This is an annual temple

function, and SVBM/VMS is conducting it as per our sampradAya. Please

This year we have a special Madhva Scholar from the east coast Shri Gopeenatha

Galagali. He is flying out here to bless us on this occasion. You may be aware that

Shri Gopeenath is the son of the eminent Madhva scholar in India

Shri Pandarinathacharya Galagali.

We request all the members to attend, volunteer and make the function a grand

success.

Tentative program :

7.30 AM : Devara pooja by Shri KrishnAcharya Pandurangi

8.30 AM : Stotra pathana - Shri VishnusahasranAma,

Shri NarasimhAstaka, Shri Venkatesha stotra,

Shri Harivayustuthi, Shri Sumadhwavijaya

pArAyana (1 sarga), Shri Raghavendra stotra,

Shri Vijayakavacha.

10.30 AM : Pravachana by Shri Gopeenath Galagali

11.15 AM : Rathotsava of Shri Sarvamoola granthagalu around

the temple premises

12.15 PM : Archane and MangalArathi to Shri Mukyapranadevaru

12.45 PM : Teertha Prasada to Madhwa elders and Priests

1.00 PM : Teertha prasada to devotees

2.00 PM : Devaranama recitation by members

3.00 PM : Kids program - recitation of shlokas & devaranAmas

4.30 PM : Taratamya bhajane

5.30 PM : Mangala and mangalArathi

We are collecting contributions for the expenses of

sambhavane and groceries - a nominal $25 is appreciated.

We need volunteers for the preparation of food and other

tasks. Please do volunteer and send an email to

mssn to plan better. For food preparation we

need ladies to wear reshme saree and gents in reshme

panche & vastras.
