Introduction : In

the Tungabhadra the water is flowing by making murmuring sounds and it is

passing through the big rocks . The waves are dancing like the experienced

dancers. For our eyes it is feast to see that beauty. The white Crane birds

in groups are flying in the sky. The Sun rays are falling in the water and

they are shining like mercury. According to Bhavisameera Vadirajaru’s

TeerthaPrabhanda. The TungaBhadra river born from the two Horns of Shri

Varahadevaru as Tunga and Bhadra. From Koodli(near shimoga district) they

both flow together as Tungabhadra. On this banks a small hamlet called Bichali

is a located . Six hundered and fifty years back Shri Shri SriPadarajaru

visited this place and planted Aswath vruksha and installed the Lord Ugra

Narasimha Devaru. Shri Shripadaraj has also installed the Narasimha devaru and

planted the Ashwatha Vruksha at a birth place of Shri Vijayadasaru of

Chikkalaparvi. The two places played a prominent role in promoting the Vyasa

Sahithya and Dasasahitya .

At Bichali Sri Vyasarajaru is

one of the great Madhwa yathigalu who had made name in installing 732

Prastistana of Pranadevaru one such idol is installed in this place. Shri

JitaMithraru is also who has installed SeshaDevaru. This place is famously

called as Naga Lokha where once many poisonous snakes are present.

Another importance of this

place is the PunyaBhoomi of SrimadAppanacharya who is the close disciple of

Rayaru and who has given a beautiful Raghavendra stotra. Every day we are all

recite the Raghavendra stotra in our daily lives. This Guru stotra is

popular among the available stotras. One of the highlight of this place is

that there is a spectacular Ekashila Brindavana of Shri Rayaru which is

similar to Moola Brindavana of Sri Raghavendra Swamiji . Sri Rayaru Kararchita

Pranadevaru is also installed by him in this place.

With the blessings from Hari

Vayu Gurugalu I am bringing a small series on this sacred Jappada Katti in

coming days please read and send your suggestions and comments to vijayadasaru.
