Madhwa's Teachings

Discourse by Vidwan Vidyasimhacharya on the Narasimha Stuti by Prahlad Rajaru.

Dear Readers,

The year 2009 is the centenary year of the legendary Vidwan, Shri.M.R.Gopalacharya, who laid the solid foundation of Maadhwa philosophy in Mumbai with the establishment of the institutions-the Vani Vihar Vidyalaya and the Satyadhyana Vidyapeetha, which have scaled great heights in spreading the Vedic lore and Madhwa philosophy not only in the city, but far beyond, during the last seven decades. The phenomenal growth of the institutions has been mainly due to the Vidwan's profound knowledge and altruism which could influence a large number of people to tread the righteous path, and his extraordinary ability to look into the future convinced him of the inevitability of the propagation of the philosophical knowledge to the people to fight the forces of consumerism the clouds of which were already seen gathering on the horizon. Therefore, he tried to spread the divine knowledge far and wide with his discourses, till his last.

The Vidyapeetha decided to pay tributes to its founder with discourses during the centenary year. It organised a series of discourses on the Sarva Moola Granthas throughout the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, and the reports are that the discourses have had a very favourable impact.

Madhwa's Teachings is fortunate to have been given a few audio-clips of some of the discourses, which it desires to share with its readers. To start with, it has up-loaded three audio-clips of the discourse on the Narasimha Stuti by Shri. Prahlad Rajaru on a link to be followed by the remaining audio-clips in due course.

Actually, the year long programme was started with the discourse on the Narasimha Stuti by Vidwan Vidyasimhacharya for smooth sailing, and the programme is found to have been progressing uninterruptedly.

Let us also pray to Lord Narasimha, the destroyer of the evil, to release us from the vice-like grip of evil forces and to lead us onto Himself.

With best regards,

Ramachandra Tammannacharya Gutti.
