Jai Shree Krishna to all His devotees.

Should a wife sit to the left or right of her husband during

performance of a Puja?

Please respond with references to scriptures, if possible?

With regard and best wishes,

Kirit Shah

Respected Sir,

The wife should be on the right side of the man on all poojas

except receiving Aashirwads from the Poojaries after the poojas.

When doing Pithur karyams, she should be on the left side. Though my

explanation is not exhaustive or final, I welcome a satisfactory reply.

Pranams,

Sir,My understanding is that depending upon the position of the Yagnopavitha of the Bhartha, the Grihini has to change her position. For receiving Aseervaatha Akshatai, this rule is not applicable. Let some other members also share their understanding in this regard.G.BalasubramanianLakshmi <lnarainguruvayur Sent: Tue, October 20, 2009 6:52:18 PM[Guruvayur] Re: Wife on left or right of her husband?
