Sri. Srinivasan and his team comprising {Sri. Arasu, Sri Ramajayam (Rajaji Nagar), Myself and my Mother} visited Vallimalai on May 1st for Vel Maral Akhanda Parayanam. More than 100 devotees from different parts of Tamilnadu and quite a few from Bangalore attended the Parayanam. {recitation}

Vel Maral Maha Mantram was chanted 108 times. It took 24 Hrs approximately from start. Ganapathi Homam and Puja was performed as a prelude in the pedestal near Ganesha Giri. The Parayanam started by 8 am May 1st. The first avritti {round}was done by Sri Balananda who stays in Vallimalai. Devotees chanted in turn. We were able to chant for about 10-15 times. We were given the slot from 2.00-4.00 AM It concluded on May 2nd around 12 Noon after the Tavaneri Tirumurai Parayanam done by Vallimalai Sabha devotees. We circumambulated the Samadhi of Sri Vallimalail swamigal chanting Anuputhi Completely.

Some of us might know Sri. Gopi (Flower Coordinator from SriRamapuram). His father is ailing from Cancerous brain tumour. He is confined to bed with no solid food for the past 2-3 months. We visited him on May 1st afternoon at Nagapundi (15 miles from Vallimalai). We recited Mayil Viruttam completely and Tirupazahani Vakuppu and also handed over the vibhuti prasadam given by Sri Balandanda. He did not respond much during parayanam.

Gopi called the next day morning and informed Srinivasan that his father responded better with appropriate eye movement and also replied back with short sentences. We felt elated to know the descent of Murugan's Grace. The

efficacy of Mayil Viruttam make us delighted and we whole heartedly thank the Lord and our Gurus. Regards Ravishankar
