yes. indian curries are tasty because of its spices and chillies. The commentary

was written by Late Narayana Menon, who was a kaula and wrote from the kaula

prespective. But Amma asked some brahmin to edit so he edited out the spice and

chillies and what came out was bland. :(

Why are you posting this filth from examma up here? Its all unsubstantiated

babble, almost all from people that barely know AMMA.

I am sorry I started this. All I meant was that a Kula text was changed into an

akula. I know Amma very well and I had told Amma this directly. I had no

intention to denigrate Amma whom I respect a lot. I met her just recently and

she was happy to see me here in africa. This is long after I made my mind clear

to her.

Amma asked the commentary to be published when it was given by the daughter of

Narayana Menon. Having once read the manuscript I know what is in there. When it

was edited by this so called samayin all the kula explanations were removed.

Thats all I meant by saying the spice and chillis were removed.

Until Lakshmidhara wrote his commentary on Saundarya Lahari, there was no

sanayachara in the sense it was protrayed by Lakshmidhara. That is when the

mistakes started. A Sri Vidya upasaka follows his parampara. Whatever other

parampara says is irrelevant to him except from the point of view of " another

view " .

But to change the point of view of the author for that of the editor and yet

claim the work is of the author is not acceptable. Thats all I meant.

One of the cardinal texts of srividya is lalitopakhyana that was composed in the

7th or 8th century (?) by some one in Kanchipuram or Shringeri Shankara Peetha.

Yet it is a Kaula text. I will not elaborate further.

Dears,

I very humbly and sincerely request all the group members to keep any

discussions and comments related to individuals and their background off this

group. It is not healthy for the Saadhanaa and the very purpose of this group.

Hopefully, it doesn't hurt anybody's feelings.

Precisely..........that is why I ask. I rather highlight it here.....What does

race and caste got to do with sadhana don't you agree? Its an issue am I not

correct? As the moderator of this group, its my right to ask question I feel

need to be address of. Race and caste got nothing to do with sadhana.......and

please do not bring it in this group. That is my point. Not meant to hurt

anybody, but to remind. That is all........I shall stop here.

The best way to keep all discriminating factors such as caste, creed, class,

religion, gender, etc, is to AVOID discussing about it. Not just you and I, but

the Supreme Being AadhiParaaShakti Itself finds no place for such

discriminations. All the non-spiritual, materialistic and worldly rules and

discriminations around the Saadhanaa are man-made and it is upto the individual

Saadhakaas to follow some or all of them based on their comfort level. So,

caste, creed, and all those factors are of NO SIGNIFICANCE to us and discussing

that will divert our path away from the goal. Let's stay focused on our goals

and the path.

So the request to you as a moderator is to filter any such comments that leads

into discussion of these discriminating factors. Sometime these discussions may

come under the disguise of dwaita / adwaita; Brahman / Brahmin, etc. Kindly be

prudent in not allowing such discussions so we can stay focused on the path.

Appreciate your understanding.

It is interesting that you mention about backgrounds. Perhaps it would be

prudent not to post any info about your guru or website as well. After all, it

is also info about your background.

That is true.....but revealing caste or race only gives a clear clue of where

one comes from, in terms of discussions, rather than arriving at the logic

behind one's perspective, during the course of discussions.

On the contrary, there are so many people, who announced that they are

" westerners " by birth and they need help to understand " eastern " thoughts. Would

that not be an info related to race?

How are they going to understand what " eastern " people are talking (or typing)

about, if someone does not make the effort to make the concepts simpler for

them?

Announcing certain things is an individual's choosing, if it helps this group or

certain individuals, it is HER doing.

Oops, there goes my monkey mind playing games again. It's not my fault. It is

Mr. Kochananda's fault. He started it all a few weeks ago.....;-)

Talking about one's Guru is not a " discriminating " information, whereas

mentioning about caste, religion, etc. which has historically been factors of

discrimination. One cannot be separated or discriminated out simply because one

follows a specific Guru. That would be total spiritual egotistic ignorance. I am

surprised you are comparing " following a Guru " to " discrimination factors " .

We do not need all these to make the group active Sreekumar.......as I'm seeing

DEVI is working in misterious way......this group do not make sense.....all of

you who are here do not make sense. I've often wondered why are you all here? We

never invite you here... I personally never want to invite anybody here. Given a

choice .......and yes! perhaps in my madness, this group should be deleted. You

all should leave this group.......leave us, abandon us. There's other groups

much better, more pure than us filty moderator here, why are you all here!

For you shakti tho... or whatever you real name is. I will speak as I wish and

when I feel like it. You are in no position to tell me what I can and cannot

speak. Do you understand!. If you are not happy... don't read my message, nor

you stay here. I find your presence here repulsive.....
