Namaste,

I will reply to your mail using a metaphor.

Suppose one is about to sink in the ocean and gets hold of a boat with just one hand. Suppose he just clings on to the boat with one hand as the fierce waves of the ocean keep pushing him in all directions.

Suppose a learned man comes and says "this is not the way to ride a boat. My son, climb the boat, sit down calmly inside the boat and ride out the stormy waters of the ocean". Of course, the learned man is correct. That would definitely be a better way to ride the boat!

But, if the waves keep pushing the hapless man and he is unable to hold the boat with both hands and climb it, he should ensure that he is *atleast* hanging on to it with one hand. That will atleast stop him from sinking in the ocean! When the waves become less fierce and one gets an opportunity, one may be able to climb inside the boat.

SARVAM GYANANANDAMAYAMAUM GURUBYO NAMAHDear Shri Narasimha,Namaste. May i write a few lines? Most of the times the following enlisted activities viz., walking or talking or driving or typing or reading or writing or answering nature's calls, take place in a semi-conscious state/mechanically.Utterance of the Nama/name of the Lord should take place in a fully conscious state. In other words highest value should be given to the utterance of the 'nama' as both the 'nama' and the lord are one and the same/inseparable. The person is not indeed aware about the other activities enlisted above when he is in the 'nama-yamuna'!!/nama-vrindavana!!/nama-sagara!!.The goal therefore should be to transcend from the state of mechanicalness to that of consciousness.HARE KRSNA HARE KRSNA KRSNA KRSNA HARE HAREHARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HAREBest wishes.May Mother Bless.Astrologically & spiritually yours,p.s.ramanarayanan.--- On Sun, 12/10/08, Narasimha P.V.R. Namaste Sir,Do I know you from before? If you do not mind, can I have your birthdata (date, time and place of birth)? You can send it privately to pvr (AT) charter (DOT) net.If your goal is reaching Vaikuntha loka and serving the Lord, just chant His name all the time when you are awake. Whether you are walking or talking or driving or typing or reading or writing or answering nature's calls, you can still silently chant His name in the mind.If you do this enough, your mind will start chanting his name when it is asleep too!Your goal should be to repeat a (any) name of the Lord all the time, so that taking that name becomes the second nature to your mind!Other things are not as useful as getting addicted to a name of the Lord.Best regards,Narasimha------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- -Do a Short Homam Yourself: http://www.VedicAst rologer.org/ homamDo Pitri Tarpanas Yourself: http://www.VedicAst rologer.org/ tarpanaSpirituality: http://groups. / group/vedic- wisdomFree Jyotish lessons (MP3): http://vedicastro. home.comcast. netFree Jyotish software (Windows): http://www.VedicAst rologer.orgSri Jagannath Centre (SJC) website: http://www.SriJagan nath.org------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- - - "Bivash Ramroop" <bivaash108 ><>Friday, October 10, 2008 2:38 AM Harish Johari's books> Om Brihaspataye Namah>> Namaste dear Narasimhaji and other enlightened members,>> I have come across some interesting information about Harish Johari,> being an enlightened soul.>> I have been reading his "Leela" book based on the Gyan Chaupad and it> is very interesting and it resonates with my personal beliefs (that> the ultimate goal of life is to reach Vaikuntha Loka and serve the> Lord)>> However, I have read some reviews about his book, "Tools for Tantra"> with some people saying it is a dangerous book to read.> I am now feeling anxious because I wanted to read it, but now I am> scared that maybe it is too esoteric to read.>> I have read other occult books before, but mostly by western authors> on subjects such as summoning spirits etc- and nothing freaky or> weird happened to me when reading those books.>> Any advice?>> Jaya Sita Raam> Bivash
