There are three parts in Yagya Bidhan a. Material and other requirements b. Prelude to Main Havan before lighting the yagya fire (including Nyas and Guru Pujan) c. Primary Functions I will begin with the primary function of the Yagya. Pls complete the two functions before starting the following. Lighting up the Yagya Make sure that plenty of Samidha(logs) are available to amount required for the specific Havan and place the logs in the pier and light the pier with cottons dipped in oil or ghee as instructed in the earlier chapters. Once the yagya pier got fire started...... Separate four pieces of small twigs/ splinters dip in ghee. Hold on to one with between your thumb and mid finger and chant...... and place the splinter into fire at Swaha........ OM Ayanta Idhma Atma Jatavedase Ne Dassa Chedda Vardaya Chasman Pashu Vir Brahma Varchase Nanna DHyena Samedhya Swaha....... Idam Agnaye Jatavedase Idam Na Mama. Hold on to another splinter dipped in ghee and repeat the above action................................................................. Om Su Samidhaye Sochise Ghreetam Tibram Juhotana Swaha.....
