The story goes that a poor mother having been lost in a great forest with her very young son.Walked for several days shouting and weeping, without finding any way out, when she was completely exausted and seeing that her son was starving to death, she exclaimed in despair, " It doesn't matter if I die, but let this son of mine be saved. " She stuck herself in one arm with a sharp splinter from a log and put her little boy's parched lips up to her bleeding so that he would servive.
