1--When Durvaasaa, who was greatly afflicted by the blazing fire of the Sudarshan chakra, was thus refused by Lord Brahmaa, he tried to take shelter of Lord Shiva, who always resides on his planet, known as Kailaasa.

 

2 --On the southern side of Sumeru are two mountains named Kailaasa and Karaveera, which extend east and west for 18,000 yojanas.

 

3--The abode known as Kailaasa is full of different herbs and vegetables, and it is sanctified by Vedic hymns and mystic yoga practice. Thus the residents of that abode are demigods by birth and have all mystic powers. Besides them there are other human beings, who are known as Kinnaras and Gandharvas and are accompanied by their beautiful wives, who are known as Apsaraas, or angels.

 

4--Kailaasa is full of mountains filled with all kinds of valuable jewels and minerals and surrounded by all varieties of valuable trees and plants. The top of the hill is nicely decorated by various types of deer.

 

5--There are many waterfalls, and in the mountains there are many beautiful caves in which the very beautiful wives of the mystics are found.

 

6--On Kailaasa Hill there is always the rhythmical sound of the peacocks’ sweet vibrations and the bees’ humming. Cuckoos are always singing, and other birds whisper amongst themselves.

 

7--There are tall trees with straight branches that appear to call the sweet birds, and when herds of elephants pass through the hills, it appears that the Kailaasa Hill moves with them. When the waterfalls resound, it appears that Kailaasa Hill does also.

 

8--The whole of Kailaasa Hill is decorated with various kinds of trees, of which the following names may be mentioned: mandaara, paarijaata, sarala, tamaala, taala, kovidaara, aasana, arjuna, aamra-jaati (mango), kadamba, dhuli-kadamba, naaga, punnaaga, campaka, paatala, ashoka, bakula, kunda and kurabaka. The entire hill is decorated with such trees, which produce flowers with fragrant aromas.

 

9--There are other trees also which decorate the hill, such as the golden lotus flower, the cinnamon tree, maalatee, kubja, mallikaa and maadhavee.

 

10--Kailaasa Hill is also decorated with such trees as kata, jackfruit, julara, banyan trees, plakshas, nyagrodhas and trees producing asafoetida. Also there are trees of betel nuts and bhoorja-patra, as well as raajapooga, blackberries and similar other trees.

 

11--There are mango trees, priyaala, madhuka and inguda. Besides these there are other trees, like thin bamboos, keecaka and varieties of other bamboo trees, all decorating the tract of Kailaasa Hill.

 

12--There are different kinds of lotus flowers, such as kumuda, utpala and shatapatra. The forest appears to be a decorated garden, and the small lakes are full of various kinds of birds who whisper very sweetly. There are many kinds of other animals also, like deer, monkeys, boars, lions, rikshas, shalyakas, forest cows, forest asses, tigers, small deer, buffalo and many other animals, who are fully enjoying their lives.

 

13--There are varieties of deer, such as karnaantra, ekapada, ashvaasya, vrika and kastooree, the deer which bears musk. Besides the deer there are many banana trees which decorate the small hillside lakes very nicely.

 

14--There is a small lake named Alakanandaa in which Satee used to take her bath, and that lake is especially auspicious. All the demigods, after seeing the specific beauty of Kailaasa Hill, were struck with wonder at the great opulence to be found there.

 

The water in which Satee used to bathe was Ganges water. In other words, the Ganges flowed through the Kailaasa-parvata. There is every possibility of accepting such a statement because Ganges water also flows from the hair of Lord Shiva. Since Ganges water rests on the head of Lord Shiva and then flows to the other parts of the universe, it is quite possible that the water in which Satee bathed, which was certainly very nicely scented, was Ganges water.

Hey Bhaktjan Is Kailash Over Brahm Jyoti.

 

It is, but it is known more commonly as Mahesha Dhama or the abode of Lord Sadasiva.

It is the final destination of the jnana yogis who are devotees of Lord Siva.

It is eternal like Vaikuntha as Lord Siva is not a different Godhead from Krishna but simply a transformation of Krishna into another form of Godhead.

 

Vaishnavas don't make much out of that aspect of Godhead because they consider Mahesha Dhama as much inferior to Goloka Dhama of Krishna.

 

The next level up in spiritual elevation takes one from Mahesha Dhama to Vaikuntha of Lord Narayana.

Undoubtedly, many devotees of Lord Siva are quite content to stay there eternally in devotion to Mahadeva.

THE KALASA NAME ON THE ABOVE POSTER is situated where the Virajaa energy is located.

 

It is stated that the material energy and the spiritual energy are separated by water known as the Virajaa River.

 

The Viraja River and the Causal Ocean are the same thing.

Above the Viraja is Mahesha Dhama of Sadasiva.

 

Ordinary devotees of Lord Siva in this world do not make it to Mahesha Dhama.

Only the fully perfected mystic yogis attain to Mahesha Dhama of Sadasiva.

Ordinary temple worshipers of Lord Siva cannot attain Mahesha Dhama.

They might attain to his planet Kailasa that is manifested within this universe, but that is not the same as the spiritual Mahesha Dhama of Sadasiva.

I get confused.

In brahm samhit Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur says that not to consider shiva a second godhead.

Is lord sada shiva the same form of shivling.

 

He said:

 

(The real nature of Śambhu, the presiding deity of Maheśa-dhāma, is described.) Śambhu is not a second Godhead other than Kṛṣṇa. Those, who entertain such discriminating sentiment, commit a great offense against the Supreme Lord. The supremacy of Śambhu is subservient to that of Govinda; hence they are not really different from each other.

 

What this means is that Lord Siva is non-different from Krishna.

He is saying that Lord Siva is not independent of Krishna as a different God.

Siva is Krishna in a state of transformation.

 

This means that there is not polytheism or many Gods or even two Gods.

There is ONE God - Lord Krishna who himself transforms himself into another feature of himself as Lord Siva.

 

Narayana, Siva and all the forms of Godhead are different forms of Krishna.

Brahma,Surya, Candra, Varuna and all the administrative gods of the universe are devotees of Krishna, his parts and parcel living entities.

 

Krishna has two forms as Vishnu-tattva and Siva-tattva, but Vishnu-tattva has some more features that Siva-tattva does not have and Krishna has some more features that Vishnu does not have.

As Siva-tattva, Krishna does not manifest all of his personal features.

Is Lord Siva as demigod ?

Siva is Siva-tattva which is between jiva-tattva and Vishnu-tattva.

He acts as a demigod as the guna-avatar of tama-guna.

Srila Prabhupada classifies Siva as a demigod in his books.

Because he is not fully on the level of Vishnu-tattva, he is sometimes classified as a demigod.

 

B.S. ch.5 text 45 purport by Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur -

 

 

The nondistinction is established by the fact that just as milk treated with acid turns into curd so Godhead becomes a subservient when He Himself attains a distinct personality by the addition of a particular element of adulteration. This personality has no independent initiative. The said adulterating principle is constituted of a combination of the stupefying quality of the deluding energy, the quality of nonplenitude of the marginal potency and a slight degree of the ecstatic-cum-cognitive principle of the plenary spiritual potency. This specifically adulterated reflection of the principle of the subjective portion of the Divinity is Sadāśiva, in the form of the effulgent masculine-symbol-god Śambhu from whom Rudradeva is manifested. In the work of mundane creation as the material cause, in the work of preservation by the destruction of sundry asuras and in the work of destruction to conduct the whole operation, Govinda manifests Himself as guṇa-avatāra in the form of Śambhu who is the separated portion of Govinda imbued with the principle of His subjective plenary portion. The personality of the destructive principle in the form of time has been identified with that of Śambhu by scriptural evidences that have been adduced in the commentary. The purport of the Bhāgavata ślokas, viz., vaiṣṇavānāḿ yathā śambhuḥ, etc., is that Śambhu, in pursuance of the will of Govinda, works in union with his consort Durgādevī by his own time energy. He teaches pious duties (dharma) as stepping-stones to the attainment of spiritual service in the various tantra-śāstras, etc., suitable for jīvas in different grades of the conditional existence. In obedience to the will of Govinda, Śambhu maintains and fosters the religion of pure devotion by preaching the cult of illusionism (Māyāvāda) and the speculative āgama-śāstras. The fifty attributes of individual souls are manifest in a far vaster measure in Śambhu and five additional attributes not attainable by jīvas are also partly found in him. So Śambhu cannot be called a jīva. He is the lord of jīva but yet partakes of the nature of a separated portion of Govinda.

 

So, as the jiva is a separated part and parcel of Krishna, Siva is also a separated portion of Krishna, yet Siva has attributes that jivas cannot possess making Siva-tattva the Lord of jivas yet a servant of Krishna.

At the center of Garbho Ocean is a Golden-Reflective surfaced round Dish-like area with a Mountain range Rim called Aloka-Loka.

 

At the Center of the above described area is a Ring-shaped Ocean that has an Island in its center --that has another 6 smaller [undetectably smaller] concentric circular ring Islands --until the Center Island [Jambuvipa].

 

This Center Island [Jambuvipa] has a Cylinder-Cone Shaped mountain that is also has a Golden-Reflective surface.

 

The Stars below the top of the Aloka-Loka Mountain range Rim have as its North Star, 'Druva-Loka'.

 

The Rest of the data has a Sholka Verse Number --and so I leave you with a map of the last [or first] frontier.

I don't agree with this picture.

In the Bhagavad-gita Krishna says:

 

 

<center>Chapter 7. Knowledge of the Absolute</center>

 

TEXT 4

 

 

bhumir apo 'nalo vayuh

kham mano buddhir eva ca

ahankara itiyam me

bhinna prakrtir astadha

 

 

SYNONYMS

 

bump.gifbhumih--earth; apah--water; analah--fire; vayuh--air; kham--ether; manah--mind; buddhih--intelligence; eva--certainly; ca--and; ahankarah--false ego; iti--thus; iyam--all these; me--My; bhinna--separated; prakrtih--energies; astadha--total eight

TRANSLATION

 

bump.gifEarth, water, fire, air, ether, mind, intelligence and false ego--all together these eight comprise My separated material energies.

So, the 7th layer is intelligence and the 8th layer is false ego not Pradhana.

Pradhana is material nature in it's subtle unmanifested form as it exists in between creations of the material cosmos.

Pradhana is not a covering of the universe but the subtle form of prakriti in it's unmanifested state.

Even if ego is the subtle form of prakriti, it is not right to say that pradhana is a covering of the universe.

I haven't found pradhana given as a covering of the universe in the Bhagavad-gita or Srimad Bhagavatam.
