This was one of the first etexts developed for this site. Each page of this is cross-linked with the Sanskrit text of the Rig Veda. Both this and the Sanskrit Rig Veda require browser support for Unicode. If you have trouble seeing non-Latin characters in this text, refer to the Sacred-texts Unicode page. full Rig Veda translation: http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/rigveda/
Kulapavana
This is the Ralph T.H. Griffith English translation of the Rig Veda. It is not a very good translation. The author misses some really basic meanings, like in the Purusha-sookta hymn - it is completely butchered. Translations by the Indian scholars are far, far superior. This website reads, //www.sacred-texts.com/ and is in this way inducing people to believe that there're high quality sacred texts. As you say, rather a disservice.
