Guruji108
I know that Rangolis are one of the oldest and most beautiful art forms of India. They are patterns or motifs, usually depicting Nature that are drawn on the floor or a wall with powdered color made out of natural vegetable dyes. However, Im not sure where the word Rangolis was derived or its origins. Does anyone have any clue? Feel free to ask me any questions that you have about Vedic religion and related yogic practices. sreeram
I think it derived from the word rang. rang in hindi means color. rangolies are made of deferent natural colors. I am not sure with the sanskrit but I think rang in sanskrit also means color.
