devanagari font/sanskrit dictionary

whats wrong with ttf fonts for devanagari i download ... most of them are no different than the english fonts

 

for ex:

 

 

zope (dot) gnowledge(dot) org/ Gnoware/ localization/ font (dot) htm

 

this link has many, but its english

whats wrong?

 

and although sanskrit is a scientific language

why is there no downloadable dictionary software which

i agree will be a problem in translations to english.

but what about hindi, russian, french etc?

i wanted it because i want to read the original literature

and not their interpretations.

 

if there is, please help

just share whatever u think will be a gud idea
