If you use Firefox as your web browser, there's a very handy extension called "Download Them All" (http://www.downthemall.net/). When you install that and right-click (control-click on the Mac) on a link on a page, you get the option to download all linked files on the page.

 

One can even sort by file-type, and other criteria, and I believe one can queue up many downloads from multiple pages.

 

It's not a fully-automated way to get the entire archive.org collection, but it could certainly speed up the process.
