CURRENT EVENTS: FALSE ISKCON UTILIZES GITA NAGARI TO PROMOTE COW/ANIMAL SLAUGHTER.

 

CURRENTLY THE CROPLANDS OF GITA NAGARI ARE BEING RENTED TO SLAUGHTERHOUSE FARMERS.THESE "FARMERS" HARVEST THE GRASSLANDS (PLANTED FROM 1980 TO 1995 BY PROTECTACOW AND FRIENDS TO SAVE THE HERD OF 200 COWS FROM CERTAIN DISASTER) THEN HAUL THE CROPS AWAY TO FATTEN COWS AND OTHER ANIMALS FOR SLAUGHTER. THIS IS WHY I WAS ATTACKED ON 12/28/06 BECUASE I DARED TO QUESTION THEM ON WHY PRABHUPADA'S FARM IS BEING UTILIZED IN THIS WAY. HERE ARE THE VIDEO AND OTHER OTHER PHOTOS I TOOK THAT DAY THAT ILLUSTRATE THE ABJECT DESTRUCTION,BOTH PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL OF PRABHUPADA'S PROPERTY BY THESE VIOLENT CRIMINALS.

<small>Today starts the World Cow Conference to be held for eight days at Ramachandrapur, surely a contact point to ask such question why ISKCON leaders rather support that cows are being kept outside of ISKCON. Although when it comes to the shoe leather mafia in European countries - every second pair of shoes is made with leather from holy cows in India, India itself as so called stronghold of treating the cow like mother doesnt come off that well. Could be that the invitation of Bollywood cine stars is rather meant to divert attention....

</small>Cine stars give special look to Vishwa Go-Sammelana

<small>SHIMOGA: Presence of dignitaries, politicians and important personalities, especially cine artists has given a remarkable touch to Vishwa Go-Sammelana to be inaugurated on Saturday.

Bollywood stars Suresh Oberoi and his son Vivek Oberoi are staying in two small cottages built at the mutt. They will be attending the whole nine-day conference.

This is not new for Vivek Oberoi, he is known to have interest in attending spiritual and programmes showing love for animals. It is said that he wears ayyappa mala and is regularly visiting Ayyappa temple.

He is always seen attending campaigns and programmes organised to save and welfare of animals. Now, Vishwa Go-Sammelana is one which he never thought of missing.

In the presence of Seer Raghaveshwara Bharathi and other dignitaries Vishwa Go-Sammelana will be gracefully inaugurated at Ramachandrapur Mutt on Saturday.

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will inaugurate the conference at 3 pm on Saturday. Central Human Resource Minister M A Patmi, DCM Yediyurappa, Ministers G T Devegowda, Eshwarappa, H D Revanna, Basavaraj Horati, Ramachandre Gowda and others will be present on the day.

Why do you say "false Iskcon"? I understand and share your outrage at this situation but problems like that are nothing new in Iskcon. When Srila Prabhupada was with us some of his disciples engaged in much worse activities than this, but you would not dare to call our organization at that time "false Iskcon".

 

Many sincere devotees serve Krsna in Iskcon today and it is a slap in the face to call them members of "false Iskcon".

Your pen is very broad. Individuals make idiotic decisions. I lived on a forty acre piece that was sold to pay for a big city embassy, and four cows were sold. No question to the buyer. This was in 1975. Do we say Prabhupada did this? He accepted the embassy as his temple. Im not a great supporter of many who lead ISKCON, but also see many ISKCON members as being folks that life would not be worth living without.

 

No, decisions were made by mistake prone individuals, than we live with the mistakes. This idea of going to war over individual mistakes is very narrow minded, and those who always rally for the rebellion have nothing to offer, because they are also run by individuals prone to mistakes.

 

Selling grass is a business decision. If the grass was not surplus, meaning that productive milk cows were using it, it would be of no profit to sell. To discriminate against other farmers because they are in the meat industry is not a bad idea, and your concern is well taken. However, pick-and-choose issues is not accepted as sincere. Where do you buy your grain for your milkers? Your tools? Your Petroleum? You have a CONNECTION to the community, so discrimination only makes you the fanatic. A vaisya makes decisions based on protection of farmland, but also is dealing with assets and debits.

 

I accept your concern, but not your outrage. Settle down. The next time you have a dollar bill, think of the slaughter that occurred in support of that dollar. This is Kali Yuga, toleration is a rare but necessary thing to attain.
