Guest guest
yes the gonads continue producing gametes in both tubal ligation and vasectomy but at a reduced rate, as evidenced by the lower fertility levels seen in reversals; and with regard to the elimination of these products it is impossible for the ovum or the sperm to be shed in the same manner as prior to the procedure, as in "nocturnal emission" or through the cervix, otherwise the procedure would have been a failure; rather, the gametes are broken down locally and reabsorbed On 25-Jan-07, at 3:13 AM, ayurveda wrote: > Re: VASECTOMY / TUBECTOMY > > Posted by: "drdevgun " drdevgun drdevgun > > Wed Jan 24, 2007 10:11 pm (PST) > > Well Kriti, > I will not agree with the "dystrophy" of the Testes or Ovaries, on > not utilising the sperms or ovums. Guest guest
I suspect what happens sometimes (with women anyway) is that when they are sterilized the blood flow to the tubes or ovaries gets compromised and that could account for a lot of the symptoms and the perception that the ovaries don't work. When I got my tubal, I immediately started having bad hot flashes and night sweats and some of the other sequelae that have been described.
