what is my Nakshatra - Uttarabhadra or Revati?

Hello learned ones..

 

I was always told by my parents that my nakhshatra was Uttarabhadra,

but recently I enter my DOB/TOB etc on some vedic websites and it says

my star is Revati. I find that the attributes, particularly the

physical attributes of a Revathi do not match mine. I would really

appreciate if some knowledgeable souls explain this anomaly. My:

 

Dob: Aug 11 1960

Tob : 6:36 am

Pob : Calcutta

hello,

your star is Revathi 1st padam.... there isn't any necessity of matching physical attributes based on star... its based on lagna, planets occupying lagna, the rasi occupied by moon and star too... u r Leo lagna with Ve and Ra in it... so, its more dependent on that..

Yes, I also get Revati - I think you will know that Revati is the very next Nakshatra after Uttarabhadhra, and you were born in the first pada, so very close to Uttarabhadhra. In fact if I make your birth time just one and a half hours earlier, you would have been born in Uttarabhadhra!

I think you can accept Revati as correct since nowadays with computers and calculators astrological calculations are more accurate to the second. And you are very fortunate as Revati has nice attributes like being very religious, humanitarian, kind, intelligent.

Is his birth star 'chathayam' or 'Pururuttathy'?
