Hi,

I am new to the list since months and I was just here to read a bit and try

to learn ayurveda. But it still very difficult from me, I must start from

the start.

I am writing you due to the pains I am having these days with my intestine

and migrains. I'd been to the doctor because of this problem this summer,

but finally with all their tests they conclude I must be a nervous person

and their diagnostic approached to intestinal irritation syndrome, which if

you know what they label this way, it is like "you don't go good with you

intestine, but we can't do a thing and also we don't know why" translated to

normal language.

In someway I feel migraines and intestinal irritation are linked, but it is

just a feeling I have though the years. Maybe it is just the fact that they

present together when having menstruation, but I don't feel it is a definite

proof.

I just speak up to know and read what you have to say about if you can help

me a little or just give me some clues to start researching by myself,

Thank you very much!

Intestinal irritation in most cases is caused by excess acid left

neutralised by reduced bile flow. Migrain is just the symptom body

gives to tell us something is wrong. hyperacidity in blood, which

ayurveda terms "pitta" is the main cause as understood by this

author, but there are many other reasons which could cause migraine.

this author has posted various cases in archives which you may search

using search facility. many of these messages also talk of migraine

linked to menstruation hormonal changes. if your migrain is chronic,

lasted more than a year see a similar case treated at:

http://health.ayurveda/message/7272

Not knowing your age makes it difficult to say anything more,

rather you pick up what applies to you from all messages on migraine posted in this list.

In all alternative medicine scinces, every individual is a unique,

and it is not easy to classify symptoms into disease names and set

protocols of treatment.

Hence what is written here may be taken as a suggestion for your

evaluation, not a prescription by a health care professional. Seeking professional guidance is best choice, as root of the disease can be found; ayurveda is not symptom management, but removing root of the disease by giving you some other herbal roots.

In which intervals you're getting migrains?

I had migrains for many years but somehow found the cause and now it's over.
