Margazhi Month and Tiruppavai

Why is Margazhi month special for Andal and why do we

chant Tiruppavai in the month of Margazhi?

This is because Sri Aandaal Herself recited each Paasuram of Thiruppaavai in the month of Maarghazhi.

I believe Sri Aandaal chose this month as the Lord has mentioned that He is Maargazhi in months in the Geetha (Adhyaayam 10).
