Charles Coronation

Kingdom or Sarva Dharma Sama Bhaava?

The news that Britain’s prince Charles’s desire to invite also the priests of religions other than Christianity to attend his coronation ceremony has been rebuked by the British Christian clergy reveals the deep rooted fanaticism that governs Britain. General Synod Secretary General William Fittal is reported to have said:” The coronation service is conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury , whose duty this has normally been since 1066.”Archbishop of York Dr John Sentamu is reported to have said: The church of England reminds the nation that in this country the Queen is Defender of the Faith ,head of the Commonwealth and head of the state.

As Defender of the Faith the queen must open her heart to clarify whether the term Faith stands for Christianity only, and the religious interests of the votaries of other faiths in Britain will have to be subordinate to those of Christians. It is suffocating to know that the church opposes participation of not only Hindus, Muslims and Jews, but the non- Anglican Christians also in the coronation ceremony. Obviously, non-Anglican Christians are taken as lesser beings than Anglican Christians. Here a fundamental question arises: Are all citizens of a country boasting to be advanced supposed to be guided by the humanistic and secular feelings of equality of regard for all religions or by a faith of a particular community? If England goes the communal way, India and other countries claiming to be secular must withdraw their membership from Commonwealth which is headed by a communalist.

Kudos to Charles for taking the secular stand of calling votaries of other religions to attend his coronation ceremony.. If the clergy must have their way, Britain would have no right to question the religious practices of other citizens and it would be Britain which would be responsible for stimulating communalism and aggravating the doctrines of crusade and jihad.

. It is the medieval age psyche, which reminds us of the pernicious dogmas like Papal bull, Inquisition and the Jesuite Oath .Mankind must be aware of that .Let us see whether Charles prefers kingdom to Sarva-Dharma-Sama-Bhaava, or becomes king after modifying the 11th century mind- set of the clergy of Britain.

Yours Sincerely

I have a lot of respect for HRH Prince Charles as he is always open to other faiths and ideas. He is also a great enviromentalist and has a lot of ideas that the royal family implements on their lands in the UK.

When Charles comes to the throne, it will be a great day.

Jai Shri Krishna!

Jai
