Jiwan Mukta Singh,

I think this meditation is used to losse weight. There was a

discussion a while ago on this same mantra. Try searching the

archives for weight loss (?). It is called Kauri Kriya. The full

mantra is Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Da Ni - Sa Ta Na Ma - Ra Ma Das Sa Sa

Say So Hung. Gurunam has a version of this mantra on his CD called

Soul Trance. I think Dharam should be able to help you with this

one. I think the mudra for this is Gyan mudra.

Earth: Sa RE GA MA PA DA NI

Ether: SA TA NA MA

Siri Gaitri Mantra: RA MA DA SA SA SAY SO HUNG

"The first verse beings the body into balance

The second verse brings the mind into balance.

The third verse opens the shushamna and awadkens the spirit.

I hope this helps.

This mantra, "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Da Ni Sa" in ascending scale and then descending is used in the Kriya "Working the Total Self" which can be found in the manual "Kundalini Yoga Manual". I don't know if this manual is still in print. It may be available from Ancient Healing Ways, but I also found it on Scribd. You can google the name of the kriya and scribe to find it. I tried to include a link, but it doesn't work here.

Enjoy!
