Body concerned over bomb litters

The Sangai Express

Imphal, September 09: Taking grim note of explosive items being detected along the NH-39 stretch on an alarmingly frequent interval ever since the August 16 bomb attack at the ISKCON temple complex, the Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur opined that involvement of Indian Govt's agencies could not be totally ruled out.

Construing that such wanton planting of bombs in congested areas reflect the intention of the executioners that the people are expendable, the women body expressed strong suspicion that discovery of explosive items might be yet another undercover ploy of the Indian Govt.

Blaming the State political leaders for lack of initiative to protect lives of the innocent citizens, it called upon the masses to join hands in fighting evil forces.

the Meira Paibi group also demanded unconditional release of TIPS secretary general L Umakanta and publicity secretary Y Thabi as well as MSF members.
