Guest guest Report post Posted August 12, 2006 Sat Nam Everyone, Here's my sadhana update :-) Thanks for asking; it keeps me motivated! I began 40 days of Kirtan Kriya on July 25th (new moon day) as posted here. So that makes today day #19. I have found that sometimes 40-day commitments unfold almost effortlessly, & I am aware of a beautiful, sweet river of grace carrying me along. AND THEN THERE ARE THOSE TIMES when the "unexpected" happens . . . & I experience that grace in a new way. I look the challenge in the eye & instead of being cowed by it, or sliding into the scarcity mentality ("I don't have enough time; I don't have enough energy"), I can feel my inner strength & say, "THIS is why I do sadhana." Since I started this 40-day cycle I have been in the process of looking for a new place to live, finalizing that situation, sorting & cleaning & packing . . . at work, my immediate supervisor's mom left her body quite unexpectedly & so my boss has taken time off. I've taken up some of her hours & also the responsibility of training a new employee whom she just hired . . . my "big boss" has been out of town & unavailable while there has been all sorts of construction & inspections & deliveries & computer meltdowns, so I've had to keep a level head for decision-making . . . I write these details only because I KNOW we can all relate to times like this in our lives, yes? THIS IS WHY WE DO SADHANA! This practice is the cornerstone of my daily life, whether I am doing it at 4 a.m., after 7 refreshing hours of sleep, or just sitting down to it at 10 p.m., after a 16-hour workday. The grace is always there. I think daily of all of you practicing with me, send you Love & Light, & thank you for the energy you send to me!
