Budha is both lagnapati (health and general well being) and dasamadhipati (career) and in 11th gives subha-argala to both houses. Besides, Budha is karaka of the 10th house. Hence this should be fruitful. You should try to have a clear-headed thinking (paka lagna) and try to finish your projects that you take up instead of getting involved into too many things. That is Mercurical character in general. The period of life depends on antar-dasas and yogas that Budha participates in. Also notice that Budha is 9th from AL and would provide protection to your image in society. A10 is in the 12-th house and you may have to go abroad due to work. So, for assessment of mercury dasha, it is quite important to see, if the natal chart has this afliction in rashi chart / D9 etc. Also, mercury being fast moving planet - will undergo frequent transit afflcition by Sun. Mars / Saturn must also not be afflicting mercury in natal chart. Merucry's dispositor (constellation as well rashi) is also important assessment factor. Mercury in karka will get nakshatra of guru, saturn and budha itself. For good dasha results, it is important that, it is not in shani's constellation. Its sign dispositor moon also need to be seen, and must not be afflcited by sun / saturn / mars. Yes, budha is in 3rd from AL with malefic sun , so has courage for materialistic pursuits (and being in 11th from lagna - has desire and ability to give good results). Generally speaking, Lagna lord dasha is always good - unless there is severe affliction. Sorry, I made a mistake stating Budha to be 9th from AL, actually it is 3rd from AL and with vargottam Surya is good as 3rd from AL should have Kroora grahas for material benefit. However, Budha is conjoined by Surya and aspected by Shani (10th aspect) and this constitutes a curse especially as AK and Lagnapati are involved. This is important because you are running Budha Moola dasa Guru antar dasa with Budha in Ghora-sashtiamsa. Guru is also under a curse but does not get involvement with 8th lord/AK/Lagnapati and is not the operative curse. But Guru is badhaka and need remedies. You must rectify the shaapa (Budha). Wear a yellow sapphire in gold in ring finger on Thursday for removing Rahu effects and do suitable Badhaka remedies first. Your Shani Mahadasa (Vimsottari) is still running till April 2009 and lets think about that for now instead of Budha Mahadasa. Rahu antar is running and can give some problems in finances and marriage or bring these into focus. In the event, you have casted chart, per that panchang - I will suggest you to see, if the close affliction of saturn changes (and perhaps budha will also change the constellation from pushya to ashlesha - for better results in your case). Guest guest Posted July 20, 2006 Report Share Posted July 20, 2006 Dear sourav ji, as mercury is aspected by saturn but since saturn is lord of 5&6th i dont think that it is creating a curse for it. you can see that saturn's exact aspect is on sun. Sun is in 11th house of labh and is lord of 12th house so it is creating problems in labh matters. yes it is vargottam so it is positive in creating an image but it is has demerits too i.e. afflicting 11th house. as guru is also creating aspect on 11th house so i dont think that even it is badhak will create any such problems. saturn is aspecting the house of cancer and moon is in cojoined with saturn in 2nd house. so it is not making much ill effects. the major problem i faced is the current period of Rahu AD in Saturn MD. thank god it is about to end.in a few months. Please do read Sanjay-ji's article on Curses (you will find it in Sohamsa files section) to understand what constitutes a curse. Vargottama is not related to AL and hence is not about image. Its about the core of you. There is some demerits always from some reference. I dont consider Surya's position to be bad if you are moving abroad ! So you haven't heard about badhak aspects ? Guru is in a bad position being in MKS and Badkah in the nodal axis, one needs to remedie that - no arguments ! and finally wear a yellow sapphire for strengthening Guru and decreasing MKS Rahu in the 9th otherwise you will find yourself not heeding to good advises from astrologers. Forget about Budh MD for not and strengthen the grahas that need to strengthened/remedied. Your platform will be built if you are a good person now. This is from Sanjay-ji: Rahu in 9th invariably requires strengthening of Guru preferably by yellow sapphire. You are fearing about Badhaka effects. However Badhaka remedies will remove that and Guru needs to be strengthened being in MKS. Guru is Guru -- whether it is Badhaka Guru or othewise, you will always want to strengthen it if possible and gemstone remedy is needed if Rahu is afflicting the 9th. Otherwise the native will always doubt (Rahu) guidance given to him(9th house). It is not a question of propitiation in this case. You cannot propitiate Rahu and reduce its effect. Instead you have to increase the effect of Guru. Even when i ask i need complete clarification before understanding the thing. so i write again email about the query. Each chart have a badhak and if we see every chart will have a curse. so i said the same thing. I am also worry about the Guru affliction in both navamsa and rashi chart but wearing Yellow sapphire is not a solution definitely. Can you guide me about the Guru's badhak effects particularly in my chart. I read the article but i am not able to understand the effects related to virgo lagna placed in 3rd house. When I am trying to rectify some of the visible defects in your chart, you keep writing replies w/o understanding that this helps you in this MD or next MD or next. It doesn't matter if it is Shani MD or Budha MD. Don't segmentize timeline of your life like that. Next, not all charts have curses. Some have. And some have stronger curses that others. You are *worried* about the Budha MD and hence I talked about Budha's curse, didn't I ? You are already in the Budha Moola-dasa, the dasa system used to time curses. When Budha MD (Vimsottari) comes, trines to it will be in focus. 5th house from Pakalagna is where Badhaka sits. Hence didn't I talk about Badhaka remedies ? When we talk about Budha MD it doesnt mean that the other grahas fall off the chart. The problems are still there. Hence your "platform" is not built if you do not take care of these now. Wearing Yellow sapphire in gold in the right hand ring finger is a standard remedy with Rahu in the 9th. You can ask Visti-ji how good it was for him when he started wearing it and before he did that how much he fought with Sanjay-ji on this remedy and how much I fought with Visti-ji on this remedy till I saw the merit. This particular gemstone increases the sattva guna in the person and prepares him for further betterment. It is not the end of the solution. NO gemstone is end of solution. Why is sadhu-sanga prescribed as a preparatory step in spiritual life ? Is it the end of Spirituality itself or creating the environment and the right mindset ? Think about this. Your AK is Chandra and is lord of 11th house. Your Pakalagna is in the 11th house inhabited by Surya aspecting the 5th. 5th lord is Shani exalted and with AK/ 11th lord. It is sure that you will understand these principles of jyotish in full depth in due course of time. But right now you need something else. So please dont write another message stating what your initial questions are. I am not bothered about inital questions. In the Badhaka article read the portions where Badhakesh is aspected/joined by Nodes. Its there. Guru suffers from Kendradhipatya dosha as well as is in MKS. Please strengthen Guru first. Of course Shukra is in Kendra to this but in dushtana from seventh bhava so the relation is party rescued but the action leading or associating with marriage/relationship will give problems (also in perspective from 7L from Brghu). This adds to Darakaraka being in MKS from AK and Rahu DK in bhagyasthan. This is causing durgati by bad guiding principle (ninth bhava) and bad atma-drive (4 from Karakamsa). So the Yellow saphire/topaz per line of Suka Nadi is good point. I wanted to add also that dushtana in kona also obstruct flow of money (lakshmisthan) and daridra-drsti-yoga (badhak+dushtana mutual bhavisyat drsti).
